Thanks for taking your time to write a review, I'm glad you found the room clean. Although I'm sorry you had an issue with the water pressure.
For the price I paid...and what my options are, this wasn't a bad hotel. Yes, it was a bit dated but overall, it was clean and the staff were friendly. My only complaint about this hotel is that the pool seemed to close quite early for a hotel. I had hoped to go for a swim, but by the time we checked in after our day of visiting the Woodstock Museum, went out to dinner and got back tot he hotel room the pool was closed. No problem....I'll just swim in the morning.....no dice, the pool didn't open until we were well on our way to our next stop. Will I stay here again? Yes, for someone traveling through and stopping for a night, this is perfect.
It's a case of friendly staff versus awful infrastructure and location.Firstly the staff were very helpful about directions and what was available ie: breakfast, internet connection ifo etc..Sadly the actual property is awful..The recurring theme in other reviews is of a musty, damp odor that greats you as you walk down the corridors and into your room..It was there for us as well. acting as an unwelcome "concierge"..the smell was awful and really off putting..the rooms were basic..the curtains in our room were moth eaten and had a plethora of holes that were clearly seen in the sunlight..the hotel info sheets were dirty and stained with goodness knows what..if you are an enthusiast of 1990's TV sets this place is for you with a classic "tub" size TV in our room...The location is also not ideal one side is the I-17 the other a main road with a gas station opposite that had frequent visits of trucks that continually idled at 3 am plus in morning. Throw in the rather colorful language of the drivers and you get the sound picture..If we had known all of the above we would not have stayed at this place..it was really, really awful as a venue..it's a shame the friendly front desk people have to deal with such an awful piece of accommodation infrastructure..Avoid this place..not up to scratch with the Days Inn brand..
About 2 hrs from Binghampton ,midway for driving home after 4 hr drive, and graduation visit . Area nice and quiet, made the drive back to Ct easier.
