Yes, this place serves great dim sum and you don't have to fight the crowds in Flushing. Parking in the neighborhood is easier than the Flushing area which is a plus, but that doesn't mean there are no crowds here to contend with. There's a parking lot in the back but it's always filled up, so don't waste your time just park on the street(meter parking). It's dim sum mania because everyone seems to be all waiting to be seated all around the noon time on the weekends. Since there is not many dim sum restaurants this east of Flushing, it's all supply and demand...get it? If it's a holiday weekend, expect to wait even more for a table. Granted the food is really good, erego the crowds but is it worth the wait even though you get less than stellar service? The servers at this place seems to be not paid much so they're never happy to serve you but have do because it's their job. Sometimes you have to ask/beg for attention to get something but if it's to get your check...pronto, faster than a speeding bullet! If you coming here just for the food(especially the noodle dishes ie:beef chow fun, har moon chow mei fun, seafood pan fried noodles), it's worth the stress and aggravation. All dim sum fanatics understand the frenzy that occurs when aggressively going for the fresh hot dan tarts coming out on the carts. Speaking of dan tarts, if you showup later than 1pm, forget about it...get your dan tart fixes at Fay Dah bakeries back in Flushing. You can get all the usual dim sum fare here and their cheung fun's(shrimp, my favorite) is exceptional. Prices are slightly higher than what you would pay in Flushing but because they know they don't have much competition in the area...you're stuck. I do hope more dim sum places can come out here to drive down prices! The nearest dim sum restaurant is off the LIE on the service road after the Douglaston shopping area(over a mile away). They do dim sum really well too but not close enough to compete with Northern Manor and drive prices down. You still pay for it if you know what I mean:) You want dim sum this east of Flushing...you pay for it!
