Arrived to our cabin after a warm welcome. Brenda and Mike think of absolutely everything, and I mean everything you will need while staying in their cabin....even half&half in the fridge!

Before we entered the cabin, we noticed that Mike had constructed a "ready to light" fire in the fire pit. He gave a quick tour of the cabin and all of its amenities. There was a remote control for the indoor gas fireplace, every single piece of cookware needed, extra blankets, extra pillow, an assortment of coffees and teas, fresh cut flowers on the kitchen table, all kinds of towels and washclothes in the bathroom, soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing lotion, salt, pepper, tin foil, matches, a hair dryer ( and my girlfriend mentioned more than once that the hair dryer was better than her own! ) ... the list goes on and on. Let me tell you that the cabin is furnished with quality furniture and comfy beds in both bedrooms. And then, don't forget...there's the killer hot tub in the gazebo just across the lighted path. Awesome!

At 8am on our first morning (you can request a later time) we heard a little knock on the door. I found a basket on our door step. Inside......french toast, local sausage, local maple syrup, hash browns, fresh strawberries, an assortment of juices... wow! I sat and ate while Monica slept !
The second morning there was a gorgeous, scrumptious frittata, fresh baked orange scones and a side of cantaloupe. Oh boy... I need to get that recipe from Brenda.

There's lots to do in the area. Great hikes thru the National Forest. That's what we like.
We hiked down to Seneca Lake past vineyards and admired the quiet beauty. We also took a short drive to Taughannock Falls and hiked along the waterfalls. Absolutely beautiful. We went on to Ithaca Falls / Fall Creek. Really nice.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something about the cabin and our stay..... but trust me.... it's all good!
We will be back for sure.

We have been going here once or twice a year for about 7 years (all seasons). We have never been disappointed. Brenda and Mike are the perfect hosts.
Beautiful cabins
Great enclosed hot tub
Relaxing porch with fire ring
42 acres to walk dogs/hike (we cross country skied this past winter and it was perfect)
Watch birds and wildlife (we saw a mink this past winter visit)
But what makes this place the most special is Brenda and Mike. Their attention to detail is unmatched. Their knowledge of the Finger Lakes region has helped us to find parks, golf courses, kayak rentals and restaurants (not to mention favorite wineries).
We can't end this review, without mentioning the "picnic basket". The wonderful breakfasts are cooked by Brenda using local farm fresh products (pastries, french toast, frittatas, egg cups, eggs benedict, sausage balls, fresh fruit, etc).
Many thanks for many wonderful memories Brenda and Mike.

Green Features: 42 acres that are recognized as a wildlife refuge.

We (two adults & two teenagers) stayed here for four nights in August 2013. The cabin was fantastic - cosy, comfortable, clean and in a lovely location. We had just spent a few days in NYC and were using this as a base to visit Niagara (a long day trip from here) before heading to Cape Cod.

The Finger Lakes area is beautiful and we greatly enjoyed our time there - such a contrast to New York!

The two cabins are spaced well apart and there is plenty of space. The BBQ and fire pit were perfect for long evenings outside in the peace and tranquility that this location offers.

Brenda and Mike were friendly and welcoming, and couldn't have been more helpful - thank-you.

Ahh - the breakfasts! Super home-cooked food; a real treat.

I hope we have the opportunity to return one day

We have stayed at the Mill Creek Cabins three times and we're always welcomed with great hospitality by owners Mike and Brenda. There are two cabins available and the owners live on-site. The cabins are exceptionally clean and cozy. We absolutely love the breakfasts that are delivered in a picnic basket to your doorstep each morning.

The cabins are approximately two miles from the Seneca Lake wine trail and we definitely recommend checking out some of the wineries along the lake. This area is gorgeous any time of year.

Room Tip: There are two cabins available. Each one has a queen size bed, pullout futon and bunk beds. There is...

Looking for a New Year's Eve escape from NYC and Toronto, my husband and I stayed in one of Mike & Brenda's cabins for 2 nights with friends of ours (another couple) and we couldn't have been any happier with our choice. We viewed countless properties before making our selection, and after our experience I know we will be back to Mill Creek for another visit.

Our cabin was clean, private, quiet, warm and fully stocked with enough kitchen essentials to make a roast chicken & vegetable dinner night and steaks on the grill and lobster tail on New Year's Eve.

The breakfast that was included exceeded all of our expectations. It included homemade baked goods that were hearty enough for 4 foodies prepping for an all-day adventure and it was delivered (hot) to our front door at our requested time.

Above and beyond touches that made our stay feel as though we were at home were fresh flowers on the table, kitchen supplies such as aluminum foil, half & half for our coffee in the fridge, salt & pepper, vegetable oil (and more), separate towels for each guest for the hot tub, pre-cut firewood and a pre-built fire in the firepit - all we had to do was light the match! We brought our own board games, but there were several others to chose from in the cabin. Also, the WiFi was in perfect working order.

Our escapes from NYC & Toronto were so wonderful, we plan on returning to the cabins for another visit, perhaps to explore during another season. I have been raving about our stay here since we arrived, and if you are on the fence about traveling here, stop thinking about it and just book it. You'll be glad you did.

We have stayed at many Finger Lakes' accomodations: Mirbeau, Belhurst, and several Quiet Place rentals. Mill Creek cabins is our new favourite. Privacy, quiet and a spotless, well appointed cabin. Little extra touches like having a scrumptious picnic basket delivered to the porch in the morning or having your campfire built and ready to enjoy exceeded our expectations. Excellent birding. We can't wait to return!

...why there are only excellent reviews listed for the Mill Creek cabins. I will not be redundant and list all the amazing amenities this little gem of a place has to offer but I will say that we(my husband ,myself and our dog) are thrilled that we found it. It is situated off the beaten path and is peaceful and secluded.I think once you stay here, you will marvel at how efficient a little cabin can be. It makes you want to down size and get rid of all your junk.
Mike and Brenda are wonderful hosts. Down to earth and friendly, they reside right on the property themselves in there own little cabin.
Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Hope we can return sometime. There is so much to do and see in the area. We've been visiting this area for the past twenty some years and never tire of the beautiful scenery. We chose Mill Creek cabins this time around because of all the glowing reviews and the fact that they are a pet friendly accommodation. We were not disappointed and our dog loved it too.

Room Tip: We stayed in Basswood, the further of the two cabins. I would imagine that the Aspen is layed out the...
