“One of the Best Meals Ever!”

My wife and I visited the Finger Lakes for an anniversary celebration. We can truly say we were lucky to find Suzanne's -one of the nicest restaurants we have ever been to. The food was exquisite. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very well-trained. Because it was our anniversary they printed us a personalized menu-a very nice touch. They have a very nice wine list with many great local wines. I would make sure not to miss this restaurant if you are in the area.

“Delicious meal. Lovely experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2013

Located in an old house with separate dining areas, we were sat in the Library area – full of cook books! Nice ambiance though a little dark. You can only order the tasting menu if the whole table orders it, which can be unfortunate. After some ‘negotiations’ for one of us to substitute one of the courses, we choose the tasting menu with the wine pairings of local wines (5 glasses for $35). The wine menu also had an extensive selection of local wines. Friendly staff, attentive service but not rushed. Pricey but worth it, the food was very good and well presented. Having spoken with Bob, Suzanne's husband, when we made the reservation, we appreciated that he came out from the kitchen after the meal to see us and was unrushed. The only negative was the uncomfortable wooden chairs! Would definitely return if in the area.

“Perfect in every way!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2013

We have dined at Suzanne's before and found the food and service to be just wonderful. We spent a very special anniversary there recently and the experience was perfect from start to finish!
A warm and gracious welcome is a wonderful way to start an evening. We felt like honored guests in the cozy dining room. Our young, but very knowlegable server made the evening go so smoothly. She knew we were there for a special evening, but when we asked for a wine suggestion, she did not automatically suggest a very high priced wine, but one that was reasonable and complimented both of our meals.
An amuse bouche was a nice way to start the meal and so was the incredible local cheese plate and my husband loved the shrimp appetizer, too. I know the menu changes often so a description of our meals might be outdated soon, but let me say that without a doubt, these were the very best filet mignon and lamb dinners we have ever experienced! The meats were cooked to perfection and accompanied by stellar sides. Everything was right with this meal!

Co-owner Bob, Suzanne's husband, came out from the kitchen to greet us and wish us a happy anniversary. That was a sweet and unexpected touch! He was not rushed and we had a lovely conversation with him. We could see why, as a team, they have been together as long as we have( nearly 40 years!).

This is a special place....don't waste a minute....go and enjoy!

“Excellant as usual”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

We live just down the road from Suzanne's and love dining here, but we try to limit our visits because you need to bring the big wallet. This is not a complaint, because the service, food and ambiance are excellent. We just like to make it a special occasion destination. The attention to detail is fantastic and her use of local ingredients and great local wines is to be commended. The tasting menu is our favorite and the wine selection that goes with is usually right on, but sometimes some of the wines are of the mark. Kings Garden Pinot Noir should not be recommended.

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013

This was a excellent experience!
First of all the restaurant is a former large house with several separate dinning rooms.
The ambience was wonderful.
Our party of 11 was seated in what amounted to a semi private area.
The room was furnished as a living room in a private home
The menu was fixed, with a good number of meat and fish selections
The service was excellent as was the food
All this and the pricing was reasonable!
The restaurant is out of the way, but that does not deter those who wish a great dining experience
