This hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the 21 St Queensbridge metro station and it takes just 15 minutes to reach Rockefeller center. The hotel rooms were clean and looked new, the hotel staff were courteous. The only problem we had is there was no water fountain - we had to use the vending machine or use tap water from the kitchen. Recommended for tourists!

Nice room, nice size, and price was excellent! 5min walk to subway and different eateries 2min around the corner. Maid service was great and efficient. The only complaint I had was that for some reason they chose to do construction on the wall outside of my room at 8am on the day I chose to sleep in and the heater NEVER came on despite adjusting the thermostat.

Dear Guest,

We thank you for taking your time to write a review for our hotel. It brings great joy to us that the service was efficient indeed and among other amenities that you found great with your stay. Your feedback is very important. On the contrary for the construction outside your room, we apologize the neighborhood is being vastly enhanced and improving. It would definitely be great to have you come back, visit us again soon !

Booked a king bed room; was given a 4th floor room with a nice view of Manhattan.

Very easy access to F Train (2 blocks,) and supermarket right next door.

Staff was great, especially Miah and Saif in the breakfast area. They were each very personable and attentive.

The only exception was the night desk attendant named Daryll. I was in the middle of a phone call with him at 11:55 PM on 1/11/15, and he chose to hang up on me in the middle of the call. This is not acceptable at all...

We stayed for a couple of days to celebrate New Years Eve in NYC. The hotel was booked solid but everything went smoothly. Our overall stay was good. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but had hot water with good pressure. The towels should be replaced. They were of a small size and very thin. It was very cold outside and the heat in the room worked well. The staff in the lobby was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but adequate and clean. . We did have a nice view from our window. Ask for a room on the upper floors and away from the elevator because with people getting on and off you keep hearing the elevator bell. The floors are small with about 10 or rooms per floor. The hotel is in a very old neighborhood. Most building around it are abandoned. We can see how someone from another state could be afraid but since we are former New Yorker's we were not intimidated. You can take the stairs in the lobby which lead you thru a courtyard out back right into the Best Western. Then go out thru the front and make a right to the subway right down the street. Which was shorter and felt safer. Breakfast had a lot to choose from. The coffee was good, had boiled eggs, NY bagels, different pastries, yogurt, cereals. The OJ was very watery. The scrambled eggs were extremely salty to the point of being inedible and the sausage patties were awful. They looked like they were boiled which made them look unappealing. Most people did not eat them. The breakfast staff was friendly and was really on top of things. They were constantly replenishing the food. They had 2 breakfast room. We would stay here again since it was just 3 stops from Manhattan. We did use Uber a few times to safe time depending on where we were headed. There is no shuttle to LGA but Uber was about $25, well worth it.

The hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. It was a short walk to the subway. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The free breakfast was filling. Had a great view of the Manhattan skyline from my room. The room was cold at times and I had to really crank up the heat to get the room to heat up, but I was really only there to sleep as I was out sightseeing with my friend. One morning housekeeping came around 9AM to clean the room, which I found a tad early.
