With a warm welcome, clean and tidy everything and a lakeside screened porch, what could be bad? The rooms are small as expected from a vintage motel. The care and cleanliness made up for the size. Next year we will try the kitchenette style room. We were able to make use of the porch and hopefully will host a good meal or two next time. In an area prone to the tourist trap mentality we never felt anything but positive feelings while at Sandy Point.

We stayed for five nights, what a great time we had! The private patio overlooking
the lake was so nice in the morning with a cup of coffee or seeing the sunset
over the lake. We had a lot of fun at the beach fishing off one of the docks and we
rented a kayak for the day to paddle around Long Lake. What a nice, quiet, clean and
entertaining stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!!!

The setting on the shores of beautiful Long Lake in the Adirondacks is a beauty. The motel is clean and comfortable. We used the efficiency kitchen (optional) and shopped at the local market. The setup is a two-burner stove top, sink and fridge - no oven. Loved the screened in porch overlooking the lake! We ate every meal out there to soak in the fabulous scenery. Appreciated the free WiFi. Daily maid service was a bonus. We enjoyed the private beach, especially since we were there for five days during the July heat wave. (Be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs if you are on the second floor.) There is boat and canoe rental at the motel and you can book a reasonably priced float plane tour at the town beach.

Room Tip: Second floor is by stairs only.

We had a second floor room with a screened balcony that had a wonderful view of the lake. The balcony had large sliding doors so that we could see out even from the bed from sunset and again at sunrise. The room was large and a wall separated a small area with a microwave and refrig and a connecting bathroom. We didn't take advantage of the private beach.

I just stayed here taking my son to a job in Long Lake. I was worried that I might not do too well in a "motel"! This place was perfect! Super clean and loved the screened porch! I was able to sleep with my sliding door open to the porch and listen to the rain....... peaceful! Super friendly and helpful to finding our way around. I am hoping to stay there when I pick him up!!!

This motel was absolutely everything an Adirondack experience should be. Stepped back in time to the days of Mom and Pop. Room extremely clean with view of lake and mountains from the bed. This room was not big but comfortable, perfect for overnight accomodations after touring beautiful countryside. Bathroom small but EXTREMELY clean. Owners friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet, serene place to stay.

This motel is all that is explained on their website and more. We originally booked 4 days and just could not leave the area. We extended our stay to 11 days. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and courteous. The rooms could be checked by "Mr.Clean". The screened in porch was wonderful to sit, relax and enjoy the view of Long Lake. Their exclusive beach was quiet; great place to watch the sunsets. They have a boat, canoe, kayaks available to rent. We did so and was further capitvated by Long Lake. Such a scenic place. Would most definitely recommend Sandy Point Motel and we are planning a return trip next year.
