From the atmosphere to the food and martini list, Char has put one great place together. The attention to my table was 1st class. My favorite was the French onion soup and the signature steak. Hard but true for me to say but maybe the best onion soup I've had. My wife not a big steak eater enjoyed a light tuna appetizer and a petite filet mignon cooked to perfect temp. We both left feeling we got our money's worth. We will 100% be talking about Char to friends as a place to go for a great dinner.

Our family went on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy; we had reservations and were seated right away. Our kids had the skirt steak and we had seafood entrees for our main course. The calamari appetizer was very good. The salads were large and could be easily shared. There were plenty of waitstaff and our waiter was attentive, but service was slow. The skirt steak cuts varied, one was a nice cut cooked perfectly medium rare; the other cuts were poor end cuts, and cooked well done. We had ordered the steaks to be cooked medium. The tuna entree was cooked black and blue as requested, but the cut was also poor. It was not a sashimi grade two inch thick cut as it should be, considering that it was prepared in an "Asian style" sauce. The stuffed shrimp entree was skimpy, consisting of maybe two "extra-large" shrimp. For $26, at least three shrimp should considered as an entree portion. Maybe if the shrimp were the size of langoustine, they could get away with only two per entree. A baked potato ordered was undercooked and lukewarm. Stick with Rick's Seafood in town. We miss Hanlons'
