“Upbeat.. good food”
Reviewed 8 August 2012

I dined at Cipollini last night with my husband and good friend. (her suggestion). It was very crowded for a Tuesday evening. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The majority of the crowd appeared to be about late 30's.. early 40's. The food was very good. The Branzino was EXCELLENT. Wine was excellent as well. It is one of those places where you order a entree and you get just meat.. no accompanyments.. that is extra. Over all we paid about $200 for 3 people.. similar to restaurants in Soho, Manhattan. It was to be expected considering the area and it's location within an upscale shopping area. Excellent food.. a bit too crowded for me.. I would consider going back for girls night though. I like the outdoor seating as well (although we sat inside)

“Great food but very noisy!”
Reviewed 17 July 2012

Had a great lunch here with family while on vacation. The food was very good and enjoyed sampling everyone's meal. Chicken Parm (nothing new here), Rissotto (excellent), an awesome meat and cheese platter and shrimp pasta dish.
This is located in Miracle mile and those who are in the area know that this place is packed from front to rear. The noise from people talking is deafening and almost unbearable. If you make it through that you can have a very nice luncheon experience....I would imagine dinner is about the same!

Give this place a try it's worth it!

“A real trattoria.”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

The food is great but there are no food or wine bargains here. The noise is deafening and makes a private conversation virtually impossible. The table are too close together and the wooden chairs are uncomfortable. It's an "in" place where the country club crowd likes to see and be seen. If the weather's nice, sit outside. Make a reservation.

“Happy, crazy, loud place , good for a drink after work.”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

Food is so-so. The ambiance - is the thing that attracts people there. We've been there many times. And no matter how sad or tired you feel - this place will pick you up in no time. Don't go there for food. GO there for drinks and good time. The food is not an issue. They try very hard to do rustic Italian. Bit overpriced, but they have no shortage of people . Good location, good parking, good crowd ( not young, but young wanna-bes) make it perennual hot spot. On weekends lots of children make the place unbearable, but they do very clever room management and stuck the kids all the way in the back. The fron t is for people watching. Don't go there if you are on the budget/ This is not the place.Lots of single middle aged women, and lots of men with money and without much. Octopus salad and thin-crusted pizza are the best dishes for many years now. Lousy wine list. Again - this is not the point .

“Good food. Good service”
Reviewed 28 December 2011

Go for lunch. The food is always delicious. All the salads are great. The service is good and friendly. They are very accomodating. Had a party for 50 guests in the back of the restaurant and the woman in charge of parties was excellent. The food is expensive and it's a great people watching location if you sit outside on a nice day.
