Attended a wedding at Riviera. Spacious parking lot. The place is tucked in off the highway near a residential area which is quaint. The cocktail hour was outside near the dock. The tide was low and Long Island's waters smell pretty bad but the garden and gazebo make beautiful photo-ops and the patio is elegantly done in brick.
They do a bar outside and food over burners including a pasta made to order on hot plates which is tasty. I recommend the shrimp and rice. The mushrooms are very tasty.
I'd stick with hard alcohol because the wine is not impressive if you're a wine drinker but the champagne for the toast was crisp and tasty.
They have a lot of great options for dessert including ice cream sundaes or a la mode for other desserts. They have Italian cookies and they put out your wedding cake in addition to a chocolate fountain with fondue snacks to dip in.
The entree options were salmon and filet with potatoes and greens. We went with the filet and it was cooked well. The sides were also tasty.
For a wedding the food was very good.
The venue inside has a great sized dance floor if your party is 100-150ish people. There is a Romeo & Juliet looking balcony above the dance floor where the bride and groom can go up and see everyone or if the ceremony is performed inside because of rain, I'm sure it helps make the ceremony more visible.
The internal decor is simple but nice. The bathrooms are well kept. And the bar is well placed so there isn't a back up in the seating area or on the dance floor.
The bar was closed when we first came in from cocktails until right after the speeches (done right away). Check into that if you're thinking of having a wedding.
