I am hesitant to share this gem but it is too good to keep to myself. Best view in Montauk and the food is fantastic! This is one of the only original Montauk establishments left!

We had an excellent dinner at the Surfside Inn. The service was outstanding, cordial and attentive to every detail. The food was excellent. Fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. And the ribs were to die for. The chef brings his southern roots to the menu, to provide a varied and interesting menu. Absolutely delicious.

Chef Gary has infused the menu with some special southern dishes. The fish is always cooked perfectly. If you get there before sunset the view of the ocean is beautiful from the booths as well as from the porch.

Very pretty small to medium sized dining room with good views of the fireworks from the balcony and parking lot (columbus day weekend gucci fireworks). Able to accommodate parties of 2 to much larger tables for groups which of course makes the noise level very high to hear your dining partner(s). This was our first experience at this restaurant.
Had a delicious pecan salad with goat cheese, cranberries, and greens with a nice vinaigrette dressing. The salad was followed with the house special horseradish coated flounder, mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had the smoked pork chops, mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. The fish was ok, but the chops were very good. Dessert was a coffee mudpie which consisted of coffee ice cream, oreo cookie chunks, nuts, and chocolate. It was a very large piece and definitely shareable....just ok. As an ice cream lover, the quality of this ice cream did not appear top quality.
Service was attentive but a slightly bit rushed. Once asked to slow it down there was no problem even though it was a busy Saturday evening. The owner was very attentive and gentlemanly--
Would definitely return on our next visit to Montauk

6 of us were staying at the Beachcomber and had dinner here on 9/19 the flounder must have been caught the same day.. Great setting across highway from ocean. White linen dining room with good service and food. You will fight over what dessert to have. Lions were having monthly meeting that night a good time was had by all. Owner apologized for their noise but it added to the small town ambiance.
