“Surprisingly beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014 via mobile

She-qa-ga falls is a beautiful sight. We were heading to Watkins Glen state park and took a short detour. The small town of Montour Falls deserves a brief visit with its unexpected Greek revival buildings. It was a good find.

“Beautiful little waterfall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

The water appears like it will go right down the main village street. On this visit it was completely iced over and most beautiful. A great attraction not to be missed.

“Cool View”

Nice to place to stop by for 15 minutes and check it out. Better if you travel the road to the top of the falls bridge and overlook main street.

“Astounding ... and in the middle of town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

This cascading falls, over a huge rock wall is worth the detour to find. It's just a few miles from Watkins Glen State Park. Just park the car and walk over to it. It's simple and it's just there. And it's impressive.

“Postcard Pretty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013 via mobile

This is a lovely waterfall, especially now, because the gorge in Watkins Glen is closed for the season. It is only a few miles south of Watkins Glen on Rt 14.

The village of Montour Falls is delightful. It's just a whistle stop but
when you get to the village, a sign will direct you to the falls.

The falls are illuminated at night this time of year. It's a nice thing to see on a cold day. Park and walk to the falls in less than 5 minutes. Great photo op.
