“Wonderful stay”

Hal the Innkeeper is very accommodating especially after we were stuck in traffic and was late for our scheduled check-in appointment. He is also very knowledgeable about everything, so pick his brain! Listen to his recommendations and you will have no regrets. The breakfast was phenomenally delicious, but do pace yourself with the coffee, it runs out quickly and had to wait for another pot to brew.

We didn't know about the pool until we got there, so we didn't get to take advantage of the pool. (FYI, beach towels are available for guest use.)

We had a nice and quiet weekend in the Cornwall/ Cornwall-on-Hudson area.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at the beginning of our vacation (late July 2014); and again at the end of our vacation (mid August 2014). The innkeeper, Hal, made every effort to make our stay comfortable and memorable. His breakfasts are delicious with several options. The property is lovely and unique. Felt like staying at a relative's. Hal and his staff are great!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Hal's place, just five minutes away from the Storm King Arts Center. Hal was accommodating, friendly and made us feel at home in his lodge. He even had chocolates, snacks, and beverages for us as soon as we checked in and was helpful with getting us acquainted with the area. We look forward to going back to stay there again! This is a great place to have a relaxing time away from the city for a weekend, or for longer!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Storm King Lodge! The renovated barn is beautiful, and our room was quite comfortable overall. It was a bit hot the first night without the AC on, but Hal, the owner, decided to put the AC on the second night, when it was more humid, which was more comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and were homemade by Hal each morning. We found the on-site pool to be spectacular! We also enjoyed the local amenities, including Storm King Art Center, local hiking trails, and excellent food at Brothers BBQ nearby and, father north, Mountain Brauhaus, in Gardiner, NY, which is totally worth the ride. Hal was very accommodating of our making a reservation at the B&B on short notice, and he was very welcoming when we arrived. There were pretzels, peanuts, drinks and beer available for guests 24/7, and lots of chocolates in our room when we arrived, which disappeared quickly! Definitely recommend for a nice weekend away.

Very friendly innkeeper here. The inn was originally a barn and it's visually quite lovely. The common room is double height with a mezzanine and great post and beam construction. We stayed in the Pine room on ground floor. From the pictures of the Pine room I thought it would feel dark but that's not the case at all. It feels warm and cozy, and gets good sunlight. The main house has 4 rooms plus there is a separate cottage. During our stay there were guests in the cottage with 2 young kids (a toddler and one around 5). Unfortunately, the whiny, "mommy, mommy, mommy" kind of kids. Glad they were in the cottage and we were in the house so our only common time with them was around breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the food was very, very good.

Room Tip: The Lavendar room is on 2nd floor and has 2 windows (i.e. cross ventilation). Plus, there's no...

Stayed at Storm King Lodge B&B a recent weekend for 2 nights (Fri+Sat) and had a wonderful time. The view of the mountains is amazing, it's very peaceful and open, lots of places to sit and lounge around. The owner, Hal, was very friendly, talkative, and made great Frittata for breakfast. Very nice place to stay, especially if you're visiting Storm King Art Center which is only 5 minutes away. Only downside is we didn't get to try the review-famous french toast :)

We enjoyed the view and relaxing on the back porch.Beer and soda was available to the guests, as were pretzels and peanuts . Breakfast was plentiful and very good . The lodge is about 4-5 minutes from Storm King. Most of all we enjoyed talking with Hal.He is warm, friendly and enjoys chatting with his guests. I guess that's why people keep on coming back to Storm King Lodge.
