Beds, food and hospitality are the greatest. Debbie and Robert display their excellent hospitality skills at every visit. This is a lovely out of the way spot on a gorgeous small town property. This is an excellent base for exploring Letchworth State Park.

Our first stay at this beautiful Inn in the quaint town of Mumford NY was wonderful. We were welcomed by the gracious hosts Deborah and Rich who made us feel at home and offered wonderful suggestions for restaurants and things to see and do in the area. Our room The Skivington, a garden room on the first floor overlooking the beautiful grounds was comfortable and charming. The breakfast was delicious...home made scones, fresh fruits, breads, and much more. We came to fly fish and we were not disappointed. The private section of Spring Creek that runs through the property offered us the opportunity to catch a few native brown trout during our one night stay... our only regret was staying for one night... but we booked a two night stay for the same weekend next year. Can't wait !

Room Tip: We enjoyed the first floor garden room The Skivington..nice views of the property !

Thank you so much! The weekend was absolutely wonderful. I'm glad you enjoyed the fly-fishing in Spring Creek on the property. We are looking forward to your return next year!

My husband and I have stayed at MANY dozens of B & Bs over the past 20 years; our 1-night stay at the GCI catapulted this B & B into our top 5 favorites! We were so disappointed that we only had one night to enjoy this fabulous place....
If you love old homes and antiques you will love this "historic mill turned B & B" - everything about it is perfect, starting right with the owners - Deborah and Richard. Both are so welcoming, most interesting to talk too, very knowledgeable about what there is to see in the area and which are the best restaurants to eat in, and they are willing to spend as much time with you as you would like...
The Inn itself is breathtakingly beautiful - and every single room beautifully and tastefully decorated. Because there was only 1 other guest staying there the night we did, we got to "tour" 9 of the 10 rooms. Each is very unique, but I think the best three rooms are those located on the lower level. Each is VERY spacious, with an equally spacious bathroom. WE stayed in the STEWART ROOM and loved everything about it (and after having seen all the other rooms, we would choose the Steward Room for all future visits...). Upon our arrival, on a nippy early April day, we were shocked and surprized when we entered our room - it was "toasty warm", because Deborah was thoughtful enough to have the gas fireplace turned on already (also making it most romantic!). The sleigh bed was SO comfotable.....
Staying on the lower level also afforded you a private parking lot down in the back, not far from your room. (Those who have complained about this set-up are nuts..... It is just one more most throughtful gesture on the part of the owners to make everything convenient for you.)
Breakfast was to die for - gourmet, healthy and plentiful; everything home-made and delicious... And if Deborah gets any sense that you might not care for what she is serving, she offers to make you something else....!
We truly hope our future travels will bring us close enough to Mumford that we can stay here again - and for at least 2-3 nights!
Deborah and Richard - THANK YOU!

Lynda and Skip

Room Tip: ALL rooms are excellent - each having something unique about them; but the 3 rooms on the "lower level" - on the back side of the inn - appeared to be the most spacious and 'private'. The inn is on a quite side street so noise is not a factor...

On our way to Canada we spent a one night at this lovely B&B. I would love to go back again and stay longer so I can visit the area. There is so much to do. There is the Finger Lakes Region, Niagara Falls is not far away, Rochester and not to mention the Genesee Village museum. Loved that I can go walking for miles. Deborah and Richard was very warm and accommodating. We woke up to a lovery breakfast of homeade bread and muffins and baked pancakes. Very delicious!!! We had breakfast together and chatted as if we have no worries in the world and time just stood still for us to just relax and talk about anything and everything. No matter what part of the world we come from, we are all connected in some way. Our life stories are not very different. Would have loved to sit in the sunroom for morning coffee and late evening drink but was not the right season. Lovely, lovely B&B.

A disclaimer: We have gotten to know Richard and Debrah. However the reason is because we keep going back. We go because the GCI has the ambiance that invites you to return. We have stayed there many times through the years. We our watching the 3rd owners of the Inn. The previous owners did a nice job. However the current owners realized that the building needed some serious repair. They have taken on the job and the results are providing a more comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is an all season room that you can use to kick back with a group of family and friends. Richard and Debrah live in a house on the property. They love to talk and share their life experiences. Their stories are humorous, and interesting.
Breakfast:if you walk away hungry it's your fault. there is fresh fruit, home made muffins ,bread and fruit juice. Coffee and tea is ready before breakfast. There is all the coffee you want.then there is the main dish. Something different each day. Real syrup for the pancakes.
If you are raelly a good person,Cooper the Springer Spaniel will come up near the Inn and let you scratch him behind the ear.
We witnessed more improvements while there. We are already looking forward to booking a night in the Barclow room when it is finished. A great room with a separate sitting room that overlooks the Mill pond. Ya gotta see this place with the snow hanging on the Pine trees.
It's agreat place to relax. The Genesee Village museum is just down the street. A nice plus.
We will be back.

Room Tip: Not much road noise from the front rooms. We like the rooms to the rear because of the view. ain't no bad rooms
