I visit New Paltz twice a year for the art show.. and this time, when we stopped at p & G ..there was a wait... so we went in to McGillicudy;s Good job with The AC..it was excellent and perfect after a long hot day.. Th e restaurant is large and has a nice feel, woodsy and appears to be recently upgraded The menu specializes in wings of all types.. many people were eating this and looked VERY happy. It is not an extensive menu, very few main course type offerings.. lots of starters and smaller portion ites. I liked they had a cup of chili $ 3.95 and a bowl..so you could try it out. with a smaller portion.. I ordered a burger with some grilled red pepper on top and a side salad, and my friend ordered the same..but with cheese and fries. She loved her meal. I felt..'Eh" . however.the burger was large and came on an unnecessary big 10,000 calorie roll,, and cooked right, pickle ( all other topings including onion were extra $).....Dissapointingly I felt it lacked flavor .I don't feel it right, however to judge a restaurant by one hamburger experience .(.$8.00) The waitor was excellent, friendly, checked four times while we sat there..It was a sat night at about 6;45 and it was only about 1/3 full ...and noisy with a mostly young loud crowd.. but on the other hand, the mood is upbeat and lively
