“On par with a cafeteria experience”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

We wanted to see this resort as the pictures in brochures are beautiful. We pulled up to the gate and said we were coming for lunch. The charge was $73 per person for the buffet. Considering the price we expected something spectacular, on the contrary, the food was fair at best and we were served along with a bus load of loud, obnoxious tourists. Entree choices were salmon or very rate flank steak. Salad bar was good, but nothing healthy. Desserts were plentiful and sugar laden. For the price the value was obscene. For any price the food was mediocre to bad. Never again, the view is not worth having to suffer through this lunch.

“Meals included with Room Price”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

For an all-in-one price dining experience, the food was surprisingly good. We ate at the breakfast and lunch buffets, and both offered a variety of food, all fresh, well prepared and nicely presented. Servers were prompt with beverages and clearing plates. Dinner in the formal dining room was delightful, from the diverse menu to the attentive service.

“Not worth the price”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Nothing really wrong with this place, just isn't worth what they charge to eat/stay/hike here and the staff isn't really that well trained in customer service. It's a pretty setting but not as unique as they market it as, especially if you've ever been to the Adirondacks or any of the national parks out west.

“Average food, Expensive”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Good: desserts, basic greens for salads. Average: side dishes, vegetables. Inedible: many of the entrees. There was pasta with bolognese sauce; the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was over salted. The cost was like fine dining, but this was more like airport dining.

“Great food and great atmosphere.”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

Consistently good food and attentive service in a beautiful atmosphere. Slightly pricey, but in line with other resort restaurants. The high tea is a favorite with us and is a lovely treat on a winter afternoon. My only criticism is that the level of service varies somewhat between the summer and winter months. The additional staff that are hired during the summer months are not always as attentive or knowledgeable as the regular staff that serves during winter months. Poor service can really turn a fun outing into a drag, but still... highly recommended.
