First, please let me state I took my family there only for a day pass of ice skating, but will return to be a guest this summer. I cannot attest to the rooms, or the overall service of the staff in general but I can attest to the simply gorgeous surroundings and old world European feel to the architecture.
A little of the inside did feel a little cheesy, maybe old Pennsylvania Dutch style decorating, but I simply cannot say enough about the outdoor surroundings. Beautiful serenity.
The ice skating rink is gorgeous and overlooks the gorge, mountains and the stunning magnificent main building. The cozy large outdoor fireplace to get warmed up next to was wonderful, and walking the trails after our skate was truly a bevy of beauty. I cannot wait to return as a guest, but am also afraid to as I can't imagine what it might be like to be disappointed by this magical place of the rooms are done in the same manner as the lodge wasMore
