Hanover House Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #6 of 13 Niagara Falls B&B and Inns
Reviewed 23 July 2014

HI
I am late posting this review, but my daughter and I stayed at this Inn in August 2012. I needed to get away from the stress of the annual audit and arrived to a very elegant B&B. The hosts were very friendly, kind, generous and not imposing, the gentleman cooked a delicious breakfast and his wife and I chatted about the kids, how many come to their Inn to de-stress like myself. I can't remember all the fancy sides served for breakfast, I just remember pancakes, eggs, biscuits, bacon and being stuffed. The room was fashionably decorated, meticulously clean, the owner a former designer/decorator. There was a beautiful courtyard in the back of the house, sort of a narrow drive to the back, but there is space to park .The Innkeepers will give you a short cut to take to the falls, but we drove instead. I would recommend this Inn to anyone. But if you have small toddlers, I would think twice. The inn-keepers will make you feel so welcome and you will have a wonderful relaxing stay. I took wonderful pictures, but can't locate them. When I do, I will load them onto the site. Visit this INn and and rest and feel pampered. Return home, rejuvenated and refreshed. The gentleman golfs in the afternoon, so you will have an early breakfast. We loved it! Used Aug 2013- but the trip was really Aug 2012. Late rating, had 2 more audits since then.

From the time we got there until we left three days later, we were pampered. The home is lovely and well cared for. Richard treats you to a beautiful display of fresh fruit sprinkled in powdered sugar while preparing a customized breakfast of your choice. I snuck downstairs last at night more than once to indulge in fresh cakes and cookies. This was a romantic weekend for my husband and I. Hanover was the perfect environment. This is an easy and beautiful walk to falls as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Hanover House. Richard warmly greeted us upon our arrival, was helpful is directing us around. We brought our 2 yr old baby and he was very accommodating giving us access to use a microwave and fridge. There was always coffee, tea, cake and cookies available- freshly baked. The breakfast was excellent! It was made fresh to order- Richard is an awesome cook! This was our first time staying at a B&B. Thank you Richard for a wonderful stay. It was nice getting to know everyone. We really appreciate the personalized service

Richard and Barbara greeted us at the front of the Inn when we arrived. It was easy to see they were eager to make our stay a pleasant one. The front of the Inn is beautifully landscaped and well manicured. The interior is decorated with a variety of antiques, and the room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a definite feature for us. Richard went out of his way to accommodate our requests and our time constraints. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance of the Inn, and of course, Niagara Falls was fantastic. We will stay here again.

We wanted to experiance a BnB and chose Hanover House and were pleased with the choice. Richard and Barbara have done a wonderful job in decorating and planning a wondergful experience for visitors. The BnB is within walking disstance to the falls and downtown Niagra Falls. Richard whips up the most fantastic breakfast that fills you up to last until an evening meal in town or at the falls. Very accommadating were the hosts in meeting their guests needs.

My wife and I stayed for one evening at the Hanover House, and enjoyed the hospitality of the owner Richard. The location is very convenient for walking to Niagara Falls - we went in the afternoon, came back to the room to dry off from the "Cave of the Winds" and then went back for the evening light show. So convenient! The breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Would highly recommend this as a place to enjoy your Niagara Falls visit.

We found the Hanover House on the internet and checked some of their reviews. We were not disappointed. It's a very nice old (1920s) huge house with a lovely stone/concrete entrance. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was appointed with some antique furniture and artifacts which kind of made it seem as though you were stepping back into the "period". Richard, our host, must have been flying solo this Holiday weekend because we didn't get to meet his wife but he did an outstanding job of hosting us. He was very welcoming and attentive to any needs we had. Richard prepares breakfast to order with a fair number of menu options. The coffee and juice was great and his cooking was delicious. The Hanover House was also hosting a wedding this weekend so Richard was really busy but we did not feel neglected at all.
One thing I would like to mention is that this region of the Country seems to be over-run with spiders this time of the year. They are *everywhere*. They even started stringing webs to and from our car overnight. Fortunately, we didn't see any in our room. They just come with the territory. Bottom line: The Hanover House was a very pleasant experience. We were pleased with our stay and would definitely consider it at the top of our list if or when we return to Niagara Falls.
