Great atmosphere... Great service and great food... We had the Salmon special, the French Chicken (GF), chef fries and Quesadilla... all were fantastic! Huge wine selection (hence the name) prices were reasonable as well.

Thank Tracie B

This restaurant came highly recommended by our B&B's owners. A short walk from the B&B, we found ourselves in this restaurant with inviting live music and a pleasant ambience. I was initially reluctant to try the wine, having never understood what wine lovers go on about, but if you walk in here you simply must try one of the wines. They have a wide selection - we tried 3 Girls - a red wine with a wonderfully dark, smoky taste. The food was plated well and tasted wonderful. If you are ordering fries, you should go for Chef's fries which are their signature fries topped with cheese and bacon. The Saganaki was another great appetiser which appealed to the eyes as well as the taste buds.

All in all, a cheerful restaurant with courteous service staff, good wine, music, and food - all the right ingredients for an enjoyable evening.

We're glad you were recommended here for a meal and some live music, Sangeetha! Thanks for branching out and giving wine a try (3 Girls is a great red!). As for your food, it's great to read you enjoyed the Chef's Fries and Saganaki. You're welcome back any time you're in the area!

Until then,

I went here on my 40th birthday. I choose it because it received good reviews and the menu sounded great. My husband is vegan and I am not, it's hard to find restaurants we can both enjoy. He ordered the penne pasta entree that specifically said vegan on their menu. When it arrived we both could smell cheese. He asked the waiter if it had dairy, because he is allergic to dairy. The waiter checked with the kitchen and came back saying "it has just a little asiago". Like that was ok ? My husband declined the meal and the waiters offer to get him something else on the menu. I however had a full meal of filet mignon in front of me. Awkward as it was I ate my dinner. It was good. I recommend they take the word vegan off the menu. Someone is obviously confused.

A birthday dinner calls for a fun and relaxing night, not a stressful one, so we want to apologize for the menu confusion. Our penne pasta entree is vegan, however, there must've been some miscommunication in the kitchen about which dishes were vegan and which were not. (Our staff, not the chef, adds the cheese and other quick toppers before the meal is brought out.) The last thing we'd want is to cause an allergic reaction -- did your server know that your husband was allergic to dairy? It sounds like there was again a miscommunication on our end, as all of our servers are trained to work with those with allergies. Still, there is no excuse for what happened, and we're so sorry that it did, but we appreciate you reaching out and letting us know. We will make sure this doesn't happen again moving forward.

That said, if you're willing to give us another try, we'd love to show you that your feedback's being put to good use. What's more, we know that we're capable of serving you a tasty meal by top-notch service, and we'd love the opportunity to prove that to you -- what do you think?

Hope to see you soon,
The Staff at Wine on Third

P.S. We hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your birthday!

We were the only people in this restaurant on a Sat night - a few others were in the bar. It's very out of place in Niagara - which has little to recommend it apart from the falls. However, this restaurant is Excellent. We had a selection of tapas style dishes - delicious beef skewers and wonderful spicey shrimp risotto. Our waitress was nice - keen and attentive with lots of suggestions about what to eat. I agree with another reviewer that the portion sizes are more European than American.

We could have good food and wine at this resaurant.
Taste is good. And price is not so expensive.
If you go to this resutaurant early hours, you will be able to enjoy good wine at happy hour price.
