“Interesting information”

Niagara Falls Discovery Center
Attraction details
Reviewed 26 June 2013

The discovery center is more of a museum of the falls area. It includes a lot of historical information and is interesting but not presented in the most interesting ways. It's mostly reading long paragraphs of explanations, not multimedia/interactive or anything that children would be interested in for very long. It's definitely geared towards an adult's attention span - and one that has time to kill in an air conditioned room at that.

Would like to have seen it but unfortunately it wasn't open the days we were at the falls. Included in the pass, and no discount given on the tickets. They just said it was closed so not to go there.

Round building with rock formation and other display. it was fun for a good 10 minutes.Dont pay the 3 dollars admission price. get it with the discovery pass. It a great stop to cool off on the way to the aquarium.

To see the falls from the USA side there is a different perspective

There was only limited access to the views - but no charges during winter.
Paid for parking.

Highlight was seeing the squirrels. (not the nasty 18 year who I yelled out for trying to kick the squirrel - date of visit 20.1.2013)

The floor was very slippery; there was no out of the weather cover.

It is great to visit in winter but dress warm and be prepared to walk slow.

visitor centre and eatery was open and full- that was mainly because it was too cold outside.

Our family visited with ages ranging from 18 -51 years old. We went through the whole center and there were a few interesting parts, but as a whole it didn't capture our interest, even though we had enjoyed other educational aspects of our visit to Niagara. The movie was a complete waste of time.
