“Great place to stay and play”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The rooms are gorgeous. It was my birthday so they gave me a room with a great view of the falls. I would come here and stay and play again. Give it a try. The restaurants are very good also.

Room Tip: If the hotel isn't booked to capacity, ask for a view of the falls

Beautiful decorating and a wonderful experience. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast at the Three Sister Cafe was great and reasonably priced. Only drawback was having to have an escort for my 18 year old through the casino since there is no other way through the building. Check in was after 4pm we had to wait about an hour to get our room but they guaranteed us one after 4 and they did accommodate us. Signage would be helpful to the new comer as there is some confusion of where the hotel entrance is rather than the casino. Parking signs and drop off signs would be welcome. Very close and convenient to everything. Some of the staff at the entrance were not very friendly while we waited for our escort.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 12th floor and it was non-smoking. The falls side had a beautiful view.

You can't miss this hotel since it's the tallest building in town.
Beautifully done on the inside and out. As of our stay it was very clean and new.
There is a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke as you enter the beautiful foyer, but this is a casino hotel where smoking is allowed. Upstairs in our room there was no smell of smoke whatsoever.
We stayed three nights with a 6 and a 12 year old. We all enjoyed the hotel very much. Be aware that staying with children younger than that may be cumbersome.
Walking distance to the falls. We were on the 24th floor with a beautiful view of the Canadian side.
We would certainly come back.

Room Tip: Ask for the highest floor, falls view if possible.

We reserved 2 rooms that adjoined for our family of 6. We called the hotel to try to get an early check-in around 1pm and the rep told us they would put a rush on it. She also said she would call us when the rooms were really. We didn't get a call from the hotel so I called back at 4pm to confirm the rooms were ready since it WAS check-in time, but I was informed that only one room was ready and check-in WAS between 4pm-6pm. There was no mention of this on my confirmation. Therefore, we went to the nearby outlet mall while we waited for our rooms. When we finally got to our room we were so excited. The room was a great size and decorated nicely. The bathroom was so huge it was also the same size as the bedroom. The shower was the best. It was the largest shower I have ever showered in. It was awesome! After we were settled in we headed to the casino. We found out the casino had an area for our teenagers that was for 18 years and up. No alcohol was allowed in this area, but smoking was. This was their 1st experience being able to gamble in a casino....they were making memories! The hotel do require you to stop at the desk before entering the casino to get an escort for minors under 21, but that wasn't a problem for us since we knew the rules in advance. It would have been more convenient if the layout of the hotel was better. They made it so minors had to walk across the casino floor. We were all given a $20 promo for signing up. The teenagers got them as well. We ate at the deli and the food was fair. I'm not a smoker, but I didn't have any issues with the smoke in the casino or in my room on the 22nd floor. I can almost say I didn't smell it at all. This hotel is very close to the Falls. You could even walk there. Plus they have free valet parking. Anyway, we had such a great time here, that our slow start didn't have a reflection on my review.

Seneca Niagara is a comfortable hotel and is a haven in small-town Niagara esp when its cold and rainy outside. The hotel is just a 5-min walk away from the Niagara falls and our room offered a good a view of the river, the mist of the falls and the colourful city lights in the evening ( i.e. if the mist didn't blow towards the hotel!)
The restaurants were very good, esp the Thunder Falls with its day-long multi-cuisine buffet spread and the in-house cafe. The quality of food here was excellent and the prices at these two restaurants were quite reasonable. We found the breakfast spread at another restaurant here a bit too scanty for the prices charged though.
The swimming pool and the whirlpool are very good and through the daytime, not very crowded either. There are families with kids to be found here though one would normally encounter mostly elderly people in the ground floor as most of the latter is taken up by the 'adults-only' casino.
All-in-all, it was a good experience staying at the Seneca Niagara.

Room Tip: Falls view rooms on the higher floors offer a good view

We go to this hotel one to two times per month and have always had a great experience. The rooms are so clean and the staff are amazing. The casino is very cool with a stage and club built in it. I have never seen anything like it. The valet staff are awesome. The restaurants are great and the food is amazing. The perks are fantastic if you gamble. A thousand times better perks at Seneca than any casino on the Canadian side. There is not much to do outside of the casino and hotel but shopping is a short drive away. I would rather stay at this casino hotel than any of the ones in Ontario.

The $20 free play was the best part of this casino. "Free alcohol drink" when you play, if you can find anyone to get a drink from! We didn't care much for the layout of this casino. We are smokers & the smoke in here bothered us. We won a little $ off the free play & the $ stunk so bad of smoke we couldn't wait to spend it! It was pretty nasty, it smelled like a nasty old hole in the wall bar. If you aren't a smoker or bothered by heavy smoke even if you smoke I'd go to CA instead. We wouldn't have come here if we didn't get the $20 free play. Plus the NY side of the falls isn't nearly as nice as the CA side.
