Had our first lunch in Santa Maria here and it didn't disappoint. Not knowing what to expect, we both settled for the fish of the day, which was beautifully cooked and the sauce was delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Interestingly, we were having lunch at another restaurant one day and a couple of tourists were looking for a local dish which this restaurant didn't do, and they recommended Café Criolo to the tourists.
Small resto, every evening full of people. Nice meat and fish.friendly people. Also good for kids. We will go back.
Had a meal here good lovley staff looks a bit scruffy from outside but looks are deceiving. Walk right to the bottom of the main rd you need to look for these places.
We went for lunch. I ordered the Catchupa. It was not the first one that I ate in Cape Verde and it was tasteless compared to the ones I had elsewhere. I Will not go back. Must say that the decoration is nice though.
