Great little place, fantastic restaurant, wonderful location. Breakfasts - basic but OK. Rooms - quiet, excellent air-con, well equipped. Beach - unbelievable!

Just remember this is Africa, not an extension of the Mediterranean. Power and water occassionally disappear - but not for long. Village life - music, bars, restaurants - are just outside the entrance. Stay here and pity the poor sods stuck a mile outside of town in the all-inclusive ghettos.

Spent a relaxing week at this hotel, small friendly , staff laid back, stayed in room 109 overlooking the sea & beach..Hotel has it own beach with umbrella's but they were inadequate for the fierce sun.
There is a beach bar but the service is slow ...just remember you are on holiday ..Went to an Irish bar/rest called tam tam's good food & value other rest in town.did get a bit of hassell , but just said NO THANKS & kept walking..
There is a lot of building site's with proposed developments but these seem to have stopped because of the ecomonic climate..Do not expect an excotic landscape this is a barren Island...But the clear blue sea makes up for this you can also watch the fishermen bringing in here catch on the small jetty . It is perfect for Wind-Surfing & people had taken there own equipment tho you can hire.
Flying with thomson was a bit of a tight squeeze...the flight time about 5-6 hours..

We stayed in rooms 109, 110 and they overlooked the bay and shore. Lovely hotel, though we did have 2 x phones and a wallet stolen! It didn't ruin the holiday though. Town is very underdeveloped and we experienced a little hassle from locals/rastas trying to get you into their 'markets' but no major dramas.

Would definitely return to this hotel on a B&B basis, food was outstanding. Lots of fish, pool very quiet and clean and the staff friendly.. Massage place on the beach very good too!

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 21 month old daughter and it is just perfect. It's location within Santa Maria is just right, about 5 mins walk from the town's main square where you'll find a couple of restaurants and a few bars and little souvenir shops.

The hotel is set right on the beautiful beach with views right along the coastline in both directions. The swimming pool is shaded with trees so it's kept nice and cool during the day. The restaurant is over the water so you can full appreciate it during every meal. We found the food delicious, with a varied menu, there is also a snack bar on the beach during the day. Our room was ground floor, ideal for our daughter ,with a lovely terrace, lounge area and double bedroom and bathroom - all cleaned daily. It's a small hotel with a friendly feel to it, very relaxed and never crowded

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, secluded spot to enjoy the sunshine and beach.

This is not a huge resort with kids clubs and bingo. The town is still developing so some services are limited. However, we found everyone to be extremely friendly and helpful and the locals very welcoming.

Lovely Hotel, very friendly staff, nothing is too much. Very layed back and relaxed. Recommend to choose sea view rooms. No facilities other than a beach for children. The sea food is superb.

We couldn't have asked for more, it met every expectation and more. Our room had sea views and we went to bed and woke up to the surf crashing on the beach. Breakfast was very good, fruit, bread, yoghurts, eggs, pulses etc and yummy cake. We ate outside on the terrace looking down on a sea so clear that you could see the fish swimming. The restaurant has to be one of the best that we tried and hotel / restaurant staff were always friendly and courteous. A lovely little hotel that we recommend to everyone.
