Had such an enjoyable stay last year that I returned again. Location of Fisherman's Cove provides best of both worlds, ie, nice swimming pool but also a long beach a few seconds' walk from the hotel. As a non-swimmer I found it perfect for strolling along, with a number of hotels and, just off the beach, restaurants for drinks/food. Travelling alone, I felt quite safe. The hotel staff and management took the trouble to remember my name. Everyone is so courteous, pleasant and friendly. Breakfast buffet serves pretty much everything you could want. Dinner is also a buffet with different themes each evening, eg, fish, Creole, Asian, Italian. Dress code is smart casual. 3 pin plugs just as in UK and they drive on left side, as in UK. Capital, Victoria, about 10 mins in taxi for 10 Euros. If necessary, change Euros to Rupees but most things can be bought with credit card/euros. Temp when I was there in mid to high 80s. Burn quickly even though it may be overcast. Excellent holiday and excellent hotel.

Despite booking six months in advance to celebrate my husbands 40th we arrived to find that our room had been given as an extension to other guests. The hotel refused to relocate the other guests and forced us to take an inferior room and then move after two days. Their attitude was disgusting. Do not risk your well earned holday funds to stay here - there are plenty of better hotels on the island.

We would like to correct wrong information left in this issue, where guests are stating wrong allegations and are misleading TripAdvisor users.

Those guests got their initial room the day after their arrival , due to slight situation and got for great benefits higherst room category.
They were pampered in our Zen Spa and enjoyed champagne offered to them.

Unfortunately , they refused complimentary birthday diner on our amazing pontoon over Indian Ocean and even pretended that some spare luggage were missing.

Hopefully, evidence was brought to their attention and they didn't follow up this issue.

We are focused on our guests and we want to achieve our best welcome to everybody.

Even when they pretend that many hotels are far better, they never checked out and completed their stay.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Meridien Fishermans Cove, the hotel staff were professional, efficient and friendly from the moment we arrived right up until the day we departed. The hotel facilities and amenities were spotless as was our room which was bedecked with Frangipani on our arrival. Buffet breakfast gave us the usual selection of cooked meats and fish, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses and much more so you could easily be spoilt for choice. We only had one meal in the hotel on our first evening which was a Creole buffet and although we enjoyed this with a bottle of wine and a little Creole dancing, we thought 130 Euros was a little pricey. Fortunately the hotel was situated in a good position for us to visit various restaurants each evening, either walking along the beach or via taxi. After touring the island, we noticed other hotel locations were slightly isolated. We particularly enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea with cakes served daily on the pier where we managed to glimpse the dolphins chasing shoals of fish,
that was a real thrill. The spa and the gym were a welcome retreat during any rainy periods as was the bar, though drinks pricey. Evening cocktails at 10 euros were always a pleasure to try.

Room service was pricey with a bottle of wine at 50 Euros and although our daily made service was good, it was also a little erratic as far as topping up tea and coffee essentials, towels etc.

We had a memorable stay here at Fishermans Cove, my only disappointment is that the hotel lacked ambience in the evening, it was usually desolate as most guests headed out elsewhere. A tinkling of piano music or light entertainment might have made for a better atmosphere. All in all though it was top notch.

We stayed at the Le Meridian for one week on our honeymoon and it was such a wonderful experience. We were worried once we read the reviews on Trip advisor since some of the reviews were not so good. But our experience was great. It is a great location since the beach is beautiful on this side and it is at the end of the beach which makes it very secluded and private. If you don’t feel like eating at the hotel for your holiday there are many good restaurants not too far from the hotel you can try, especially the famous Indian restaurant. There is also a pizzeria that is on the beach about 10 minute walk where you can get a pizza for couple of Euros. There is bus stop in front of the restaurant and we took the bus from in front of the hotel into town and spend the day in Mahe. If you want to splurge you can try the Hotel’s upscale restaurant which was has great food and impeccable service. It was worth every penny. The hotel organised a lot of activites such as yoga during the day. They have a great spa as well and 24 hr gym. Overall, it was a wonderful experience looking forward to going again.

Having arrived at Fisherman's Cove in the early morning after two long flights, my new husband and I felt immediately relaxed. After a short taxi journey from Victoria Airport, we were met by friendly and helpful staff who directed us to their spa to freshen up before our check in time. We then enjoyed a wonderful buffet breakfast and happily lounged by the pool until our room was ready (early and well worth the short wait).

The Frangipani room was beautiful. Spacious, light and airy and boasting a stunning view of the ocean. Just a few steps away the swimming pool, the suite led to a decked balcony donning two sun loungers so we could also enjoy the scenery without leaving the room. The view could even be admired from the open shower although a curtain is provided for more privacy if required!

We starting setting our watches to 'teatime' at the resort when complimentary pancakes/tea/coffee and cakes were served at the pier along the Seaside Promenade. Other meals within the hotel were enjoyable but expensive. However, there are plenty of other restaurants nearby serving wonderful Creole food. La Perle Noir and La Scala (both Italian owned) are definitely worth a visit. Baobab Pizzeria along the beach is also handy if you are happy to take a break from the more traditional food and prepared to wait for a very good pizza. It is not possible to book in advance and queues can be long as it is a favourite with locals and tourists alike. Opposite Baobab, the Boathouse serves an all-you-can-eat buffet for a fixed price if you want to try a variety of traditional dishes. These would all be personal recommendations, although we revisited La Perle Noir on a number of occasions for their fantastic dishes and banana flambe!

We were also regularly lured to the hotel's Cocoloba for the Cocktail of the Day or an alternative concoction created by their wonderful barman Ron.

During the day, the beach offers plenty of watersports and we organised a very memorable snorkelling trip through the hotel. We also took trips to La Digue and Praslin which were both stunning and a driver for the hotel, Jemmi, took us for a breathtaking tour of Mahe itself. It is worth asking for him because he is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He made our trip particularly enjoyable with his insider tips and help.

All in all, an amazing trip from start to finish. We were very sad to leave but hope to return in the future and see the same staff that looked after us so well during our honeymoon.

We stayed here for 6 nights for the first part of our Honeymoon. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming and always used to greet us with a smile in the morning. On the first day we were wandering around the grounds of the hotel, and one of the reception ladies came to find us and present us both with a necklace of flowers, which was a really lovely touch.

The room was airy and bright and kept very clean. We stayed on Bed & Breakfast, so we sampled the food in the main buffet restaurant as well as the A La Carte restaurant. The food in the buffet restaurant was good, but the food in the A La Carte restaurant was very good.

The infinity pool is a lovely addition to the hotel, and the beach is also very good. Picture postcard views of white sands, crystal clear blue waters. We did walk along the beach a couple of times in the evening to try some other restaurants, where we found them to be far cheaper than the restaurants at the hotel and the quality was excellent.

Yes food and drink is expensive, but it is all over the Seychelles.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an excellent hotel on the main island of Mahe.

spent one week on honeymoon on this island at the best it was ok. their were really no amazing beaches on this island which i was really looking foward to. they were really narrow and not as clear as i thought it would be. felt like every time me and my wife stepped out it cost me about 300 and thats with the half-board. everything is way overpriced drinks cost about 15 euros which was really outrages. taxis on average about 15-20 euros were ever u went. to go to halfway decent restaurant cost about 200euros with a bottle of wine. to go fishing cost about 400 euros for the day, jet ski 30euros for 20 min. the hotel i spent 600 euro a night and the room was ok not worth 600. felt like the hotel was tring to nickel and dime me at every chance, the food was ok, breakfest was good but the buffet for dinner was horrible. we ate their one night and that was the end to that. there was no night life to speak of, everynight was lights out around 10-11 oclock. the staff was good they were very friendly and at the end of the day we made the most of it.
if i have never traveled i may of liked this place but ive been to so many more nicer locations and for a third of the money. last year me and my wife went to greece which was alot closer and had the time our lives. the beaches were truly amazing the food incredible the people were friendly and a great night life. guess i was looking to top that vacation which this one didnt even come close. i would not recommend this place because its a remote island paradise which it is not. remote yes paradise no way. too much money for so little.
