The original stone house of zanzibar history. Very nice interior and warm welcome from the staff. It has all bath equipment and very clean beds filled with Woden tradition of zanzibar. Close to all tourist site. The staff offered 3 hours walking tour from reasonable price.

Airport taxi ckst 10k only

Hidden in the alleys but very close to the ferry. It would be a good idea to have a torch on you after dark. With a bit of luck you are able to find the place yourself, just turn left after the big tree.
Traditional decorations and the wooden carved bed reminds you of the stories from Thousand and One Nights. Bathroom is a little doggy but not dirty. Nice roof terrace where they serve simple breakfast and afternoon Zanzibari tea. No restaurant but the staff/owner are happy to help you with your questions and tours. I believe its one of the best choices in Stone Town for a reasonable price.

The position of the Pyramid is in the old part of Stone Town, not so far from the port (5 min walking) and from other points of interest. Average clean. Tiny bathroom and not so clean. Basic breakfast.

This is a really atmospheric and picturesque place with really cool decor. It's down a maze of alleys and you properly feel like you are in Stone Town. Good access for all the amenities.

Nice room, good nets, very clean. The staff were very helpful and they can sort out your tours and things.

Pretty good value, though it can get a bit hot at night!!

Room Tip: Get the cabbie to walk out and take you to the door - better than a papasi "helping" you

In Stone town you have to careful when you chose your hotel since it is difficult to find most of them. (you'll need a pick-up or someone to show you. the city is mostly like a medina with small streets and shops.) If you won't be staying in a hotel on the main streets -which are expensive accordingly- this hotel would be my choice. In the low season you can get a single room for 25 usd. Internet functions. Close to ferry port. Finding the hotel after dinner -in dark- might be a bit tricky but this applies to all the hotels except big ones on the main street.

Charming traditional place, with lovely top-roof place to rest and eat. Reception persons are very kind and helpful, internet works properly. The rooms are comfortable with muslim-traditional ornaments and decoration. Very stylish. Hotel is well located (near ferry harbor)
Strongly recommend.
