Our family of four stayed at Pongwe Bay Resort for 3 nights in December 2015, at the end of our safari.
Pongwe Bay Resort is a small and friendly resort. At full capacity, the resort can welcome about 50 guests, so the atmosphere was very relaxed and family-like.
The set up of the resort was great. The four-rooms cottages all surround a large and warm swimming pool, and the site is entirely covered in white sand and palm trees. Walking around always barefoot was a very pleasant concept! The open-air lounge and dining area was also beautiful, providing a nice view on the building's architecture during meal times and a cozy and shaded area to relax during the warm daytime. The beach is also breathtaking with its snow like sand and clear turquoise water. However, the tide is low during the major part of the day, and the seabed is rocky, so make sure to bring water shoes. They do sell some in their small shop however.
Our two rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. Each of them also had a large balcony with a view on the beautiful set up of the resort.
We had taken the full board and the food was good, however it was way too much food for us! We did not always take all the courses provided.
Last and not least, the staff at Pongwe Bay Resort was fantastic. Everyone was always so...Our family of four stayed at Pongwe Bay Resort for 3 nights in December 2015, at the end of our safari.

Last and not least, the staff at Pongwe Bay Resort was fantastic. Everyone was always so polite, smiling and attentive. Johnny, the manager, came to see his guests at every meal and never failed to make sure everyone was pleased with the service and enjoyed their holidays.
We had a wonderful time at Pongwe Bay Resort and kind of wish we would have stayed a little bit longer. We would definitely come back and recommend it anytime!More
