We spent six nights in this family run hotel that is practically in the middle of nowhwere amongst stunning scenery. We stayed there for two nights last year as part of a walking trip, and wanted to return to this beautiful part of the world to see more of the fascinating region that is full of history and marvellous wines! In fact, it is a great place to stay if you want to sample and get to know the local wines.
We had half board, and althought there was no choice of menu all the dinners were superb with wonderful sauces, and I am sure that we would have been offered an alternative if we had not liked that sound of anything. We asked them to match each course with a glass of different wine every night - we were never dissapointed and were wined and dined like royalty and felt really looked after. I think it was very good value for money, and the cheese board rates among the best I have ever been offerd!
The old village opposite the hotel is charming to walk around.
Our room was lovely - tastfully decorated with nice toiletries. We will deffinitley return when we have drunk all the wine we have brought back!More
