As we neared the end of our week long stay we fancied something different from moussaka and meat dishes. So it had to be fish!

We had walked past Petros many times and had admired the changing display of fish and shellfish on ice, so decided to give it a whirl.

And very good it was, too. After a fried tomato starter ( very tasty) we went for white bream (22 Euros) and salmon (18 Euros). These turned up as generous portions, perfectly cooked and presented and served respectively with aromatic rice and vegetables.

There was no need (or room) for a dessert, although the gratis liqueur was a nice bonus.

There was a good buzz about the place and as we left, two couples were queuing to get tables. You can understand why!

The service was wonderful, which is rather unsusual in Oia. George made us feel very welcome and reserved the best table on the deck with view of the sunset for us. I have to say though, that this place has a view, but not necessarily the best view to see the sunset, since it is not located directly at the ocean.

We had different Greek appetizers that we shared and I really have to say that all of them were very delicious. My favourite was the traditional Greek Fava which was better than any other on this or the other Greek islands we visited. The portions are quite big, therefore I would recommend to either share an appetizer or even better, order a whole bunch of them to share and skip the main course. Since we had so much to eat already, we decided to skip dessert. George gave us a dessert on the house to try and we were just blown away. It was "just" yoghurt with hoey and nuts, but it was by far the most delicious dessert I've had in a long time. It's been really hard to even eat yoghurt anymore, because nothing compares even remotely to this. If you get a chance, oder this dessert, even if sounds plain.

Went here for a late dinner and ended up ordering a ton of appetizers instead after we discovered how delicious they were. We asked the waiter for the best local dishes and he brought them all for us to try. We had tomato and zucchini fritters, baked eggplant with feta, Greek salad, a fava bean dish and more. They were all great! We also ordered a few big Greek beers which went really well with our sampling.

The service was good and very friendly. The view over the Caldera is great, just make sure you get a table in the first row. We would definitely go back!

Try catch of the day in the seafood section. Just amazing. Portions are big, so go with empty stomach. Though have patience to wait since the service is slow but worth the wait!

As a big city citizen, I'm a great fan of all natrual, bio, organic etc. And Petros serves it all on a nicely settled open air stage, spiced up with smiling service and warm see breeze. Fresh see food, btfl views around and candle-lit Oia.Adorbale and very peaceful
