We stayed in house 1 for a week at the beginning of June. It is a lovely house, has been tastefully renovated with lots of lovely touches of local glass, pottery and other artefacts. The space is great - there were two of us and we loved the double height living room, with the master bedroom overlooking it through a window from above - and you could see the sea from the bed! The terrace was large - one of the largest we have seen in Oia for a single appartment, which means you can choose sunshine or shade throughout the day.

It's a comfortable place - nice sofas inside, decent outdoor furniture, perfect for sitting with your glass of wine looking at the fabulous caldera view. You can't see the actual sunset from here but you are very close so can have your appetitive in wonderful peace and quiet, then pop out round the corner two minutes before the sunset, missing the enormous crowds for most of the time!

Tania and Alex were incredibly helpful - from before we arrived, to a great briefing on the local attractions
/restaurant recommendations when we got there. The house is well appointed - perfect for having your home made Greek supper or breakfast on the terrace.

We would highly recommend this property and would go back like a shot. Thanks Tania and Alex for a wonderful stay.

We have just spent a week in Oia, in Lucky Home 1. It was the prefect place for a week of relaxing. Great location and the views are amazing, although, you cannot see the sunset from here. Very clean and has all the facilities you need if you don't fancy eating out. The crowds during the day are unbelievable, and I can only imagine what it's like in summer. On that terrace though, mesmerised by that view, you really don't notice them, only coming to and from the apartment as the lanes are quite narrow. But then, that's the charm of Oia. We tried quite a few local restaurants and they vary greatly in what they charge for pretty much the same cuisine and service. Restaurant 218 was great value for snacks and drinks but the favourite was dinner at The Grace Hotel, in the village of Imerovogli. Spectacular. Try a day trip to Thirassia on the ferry. Ridiculous fare of $1 each way, then a cheap and cheerful lunch at one of the many bayside cafés. We will definitely return to Oia, and Lucky Homes. The best holiday in years.

Returned from a 5 night stay in the perfect hideaway studio yesterday. From the touristfilled narrow alleys you step into a quiet and very private home. A cozy livingroom with tiny kitchen (but with all you could need), a big bedroom and the most important part: the terrace. The view is spectaculair all day. At sunset watch the crowds gathering at the castle, at night watch the lights of all the towns on the cliffs and the stars above you. The pictures shown on the website and here are exactly as it is.
Service is good: from the first email contact, to being met at check in (with lots of tips about trips and restaurants), to saying goodbye. This studio felt like home from the first minute.

I have never written a review on the places I visit, but Lucky Home 1 deserves it. It is Spectacular! It is much better than the pictures on internet, and from experience that rarely happens.
The view from the terrace out over the ocean was one of the best in Santorini. Just sitting there and watch the sun come up over breakfast or go down at nights with a cool breeze and view of Oia on the side, is just breath taking. I traveled with 2 other friends and the house is very space full and beautifully decorated.
The staff is very professional. Basil and Tila were very nice and helpful. The restaurants that Basil recommended were very good. We had a wonderful time in Santorini, we could not of been more comfortable and a great part in this was finding a great home to stay in paradise.

We stayed for 5 nights in June 2013. Met at the village edge by Basil and taken to The Perfect Hideaway Studio. What a prefect description from the romantic bedroom in the cave to a lovely living area with full kitchen a superb. But the best part is the terrace very long with steep narrow steps down but then you walk to the end and you get the view. Look down at the tourists thronging the narrow alleys look left for that stunning view of Oia look right to the castle or straight on for Santorini with the cruise ships sailing by underneath you....I will never tire of that view. Basil gave some excellent advise on where to eat and what to see around the island. Best bit was we listened to him and did the sunset cruise on the Catamaran, highlight of our three weeks island hopping.

Lucky Homes might not sound the most attractive of names but don't be put off. This was one of the most magical places to stay and the view from the terrace out over the ocean was one of the best on Santorini. Sleeping in bedrooms carved out of the rock face made for a cool nights sleep and each room had a quirky wet room also in the rock face. The living area was bright and airy and the terrace an amazing place to sit to either watch the sun come up over breakfast or go down whilst sipping a cool G&T.
Basil was very helpful in arranging transfers and booking trips and restaurants - would esp recommend the catamaran day trip.
Location was very central to shops and restaurants albeit that you would have to be fairly fit to tackle the steps down to the small harbour.
Over all would highly recommend Lucky Homes.
