“Typical Greek Food!!!”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

We had dinner yesterday, on the eastern evening, it was quite busy but they managed to find us a table even on a last minute. The place is a bit out of time, for one dinner you feel like being in the middle of a Greek familial kitchen which is very charming! Food was delicious and surprising (one of us took the special eastern menu with typical soup!!). And we had a very nice guy taking care of our table! Highly recommanded!!

“Best Restaurant in Oia”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

This is premier dining - Somewhat hard to fine but so worth the effort. Best food I ate during my two weeks in Greece and I traveled many parts of the country. Was the first nightly meal in Oia and we decided to return for the last meal on Santorini before departing the next day. Romantic, delicious and so dedicated to detail! Local ingredients, best fava bean dish EVER!!!! All things great . And the host is eager to share with you the dishes, the cooking methods, and the cook!

Excellent food highly recommend the sweat and sour pork ( Greek style) surprisingly yum! People are very friendly and you will enjoy this place whether you are going there with friends or family or your other half. Really nice family run dinner place.

“Ambience plus”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

Very good food and wine, but the ambience is second to none. Live traditional Greek music from a couple of local musicians, and fabulous hospitality from the owner. Had a great night. It is slightly off the beaten track in amongst the small lane ways in Oia, which is also part of its attraction.

“Love this little gem of a restaurant!”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

Candouni Restaurant has everything you're looking for in a traditional but elegant Greek restaurant: delicious + fresh food (cooked by the owner), beautiful atmosphere (a cozy and inviting renovated Sea Captain's home from the early 1800s), and wonderful people who own and run the restaurant. We learned a lot from the owners' son, who explained the history of the building, and we were so happy with the delicious food and wine cooked and served with love by the family here. If you are on the island of Santorini, don't miss this little treasure!
