Just down the road from our hotel - we ate there several nights as great staff, entertainment, food and wine. The large menu offered a good selection of Greek food - favourites being chicken souvlaki and moussaka. We never got around to dessert - but the doughnuts and ice cream looked great. The house wine (red`) is really quite nice. The multinational customers are asked their nationality and promptly a flag of their country is placed on their table...it was fun seeing who else was in the room - Chinese, American, Brits, Germans, French etc.... Its the kind of place everyone talks to their neighbours. The live music is great fun - Greek folk songs and not just Zorba. They also throw in a few Beatle numbers too. Their CD is given to anyone tipping decently.
If you do not like cats, then perhaps give this place a miss - the owner told us he has 22 at the moment as he rescues them. They are non-intrusive, but do enjoy the odd tit bit - the tiny kittens are very sweet, sitting on the owners spare chair while he plays his guitar. Lots of nostalgic pictures are around the restaurant and a photo is taken of all newcomers.
A good night out - highly recommended
