Just love the place... Santorini is a paradise... the sunset... the views... the beach... the food... everything about the it just makes you always want to stay more,.... during our stay there, we had rented one of Chelidonia's Villas... oohhhh.. the place is so nice... i mean like really really nice.. it has the perfect view... even if you are inside the villa, when you wake up you just sit from the bed and you can't just resist the smile of the sky and the glimpse of the sea,.. such a lovely place. the villas are situated perfectly on the nice place of Santorini... aside from that.. the owners are very nice.. Mr. Rose and his wife, which makes us want to stay there whenever we will go to Santorini, my brothers and my husband had a good time with him when he visits us to check if everything is alrght... its just a simple description that Santorini is a nice place to live with nice people around you... especially if you spend your days in Chelidonia villas, its cheaper than those of the hotels which claims that they got the nicest view, but in reality... it indeed is situated perfectly to enjoy the view in Santorini

From the moment we checked in, everything was great. We stayed in a 2 bedroom house. Comfortable, clean, and well furnished. We had a large front terrace with an amazing view facing the Caldera, volcano, and surrounding islands. Owners are hospitable, gave good advice regarding local restaurants, beaches, etc. They live on premises and are available. Worth every Euro...

We booked a Chelidonia 'suite' apartment for a week in July and had a great time. The apartment location was perfect, a stones throw from the many shops, cafe's and restaurants of Oia but hidden away in the cliffside down some steps making it a peaceful haven when desired.
The apartment was a good size with a large double bedroom, bathroom and living area and small kitchenette. The private veranda overlooking the caldera was huge and a perfect place for lunch, sunbathing and a place to catch the breeze in the evening, the views are really amazing.
Overall a very relaxing stay with no problems whatsoever, a perfect place to getaway from it all!

We recently returned from our second stay at Chelidonia, each time with a different couple. All six of us agree that it was the best view we have ever had at any of the places we have stayed. Our villa was Liandros, a 2 bedroom perfectly suited for two couples. Triantaphyllos and Erica are very helpful and willing to give expert advice on things to do and see, restaurants, etc. You must book directly, but the website is very helpful in that regard. If you require such amenities as a pool, room service, and an on-site bar/restaurant, then Chelidonia isn't for you. However, if you value beauty, peace, and tranquility, and are willing to make a five minute walk to the town's excellent bakery, I highly recommend Chelidonia.
You won't be disappointed.

We had a fantastic week at Chelidonia Villas. From the two young men who met our taxi and handled the luggage down to our villa to the overall service to the views from our private terrace, the stay could not have been better. Rose and Erika manage this property very well and are excellent hosts. I hope to return some day.

In a word: amazing.

The owners arranged a taxi to meet us at the port (absolutely necessary because the island has only a handful of cabs), and we sped up into the mountain to Oia. The hotel isn't accessible to the street; a porter was waiting in the parking lot to carry our bags the 5 minutes (and 200+ steps!) from the road down to our room. (Yes, it's a hike up and down the cliff to your room, but the privacy and freedom from the hordes of tourists are well worth the walk).

By far, the best part of Chelidonia is the caldera view. It's breathtaking. The light changes constantly, and you'll want to spend hours on your balcony, taking it all in. There are chaise lounges, huge umbrellas and various tables and chairs. As an aside, you can't actually see the sunset from the hotel - you have to walk to the end of the cliff or down to Ammoudi port - both worth doing once. You'll be surrounded by literally thousands of tourists. After the first time, you'll enjoy just watching the light change from your private balcony with a bottle of wine.

The cliff houses are immaculately restored, and furnished with fitting antiques and furniture. Aside from air conditioning and a small but well-appointed kitchen area, it's entirely authentic. (ie no television or phone; and you won't miss it!) The bathroom is spartan but fine. We cooked a number of meals and ate them on the balcony - an absolute must!

Free internet and international phone calls were available in a small room next to the hotel reception. Plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes' walk - though this part of Santorini is uber-touristy and prices tend toward the exorbitant. Ask for suggestions so you're not led too far astray...

The owners and staff are incredibly nice - spend some time talking to Triantyphyllos if you can - he's a great storyteller and genuinely interested in making sure his guests are comfortable.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been, and absolutely worth the price.

We stayed at Chelidonia in Oia for 4 nights at the end of May, and had a fantastic time! Oia is a beautiful village, wonderful when quiet, but unfortunately gets very crowded even in May when the cruise parties arrive! But it's definitely worth staying in the village, as the views are fabulous. We stayed in House Apollon, which was spacious, clean and cool. It has 2 private patios which gives such wide views over the village and the caldera. Breakfasting on the top patio was a treat! We enjoyed watching the boats crossing the caldera, and seeing the donkeys go up and down the path each afternoon. We saw the sunset each evening from the kastro, the windmills and even from the port! The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay! We would definitely recommend Chelidonia Villas, and hope to return some day!
