“Wonderfully relaxing”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We spent five days here in June and it was absolutely wonderful! The hotel is a bit off the beaten track and you need some kind of transportation to get around (we rented a quad bike for 3 days for 80Euro) but it is well worth being away from the extreme crowds in Fira or Oia. The food is among the best we have had in Greece, fresh and lovingly prepared.

Santorini is a crowed island and this hotel offers the perfect oasis for your holidays. The service was the best I might ever had in a hotel since the boys working there are not only an amazing staff but also wonderful persons. Everything you might need they will provide it, CDs for the car, recommendation, suncream, books, you name it. The rooms are clever distributed and always clean. The food at the hotel is always available and was delicious! with a homy feeling that was highly appreciated. The location is great even though you might transportation, which you will anyways since the island is not small and is safer to have a car. For me Oia and Fira were quite crowded and I was really happy to be really close to Oia but far enough to enjoy the feeling of the island and relax. Will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Try the food at the hotel which is great and have a drink at the bar of the pool which is quite rela...

First visit to Greece and it was just the most relaxing week. The hotel is outside Oia but it's a little oasis of peace and quiet. We had a hire car but other guests had no problem getting taxis wherever and whenever. Room was lovely, cleaned and tidied every day. The pool is exactly as shown on the website photos. The food is just fantastic - my favourite was the moussaka but everything we ordered was spot on. Antonis and all the staff are very efficient and friendly. We will definitely be going back!!

Today we lost 160€.
We pre-booked on the web. When we saw this hotel we left without staying as planned.
Don't book Pelagos without taking a look at the place!
The pictures are not false but very misleading.
The area where the hotel is situated is very remote and rough.
If you dont have a rental car you will be stuck in the outback.
Construction machines and rubbish near the beach.
We have no opinion on the rooms as we left without using our reservation.
The hotel owner chose to charge us even though we did not stay. The hotel was not fully booked.
Money for nothing, pretty ugly...

We have travelled around the greek archipelago from Athens/Piraeus through a handful of islands. Everywhere there is kind and warm people and you dont have to lock the scoter/car or even your room. Amorgos is maybe the best with wild mountains and extraordinary beaches, caves and shipwrecks.
Santorini is touristic and crowded. Here you find the backside of tourist Greece.
Don't trust people like you're used to on the islands and be prepared to be "treated like a wallet".
Contrary to the other islands Santorini is a fascade. If you feel a need to visit Santorini, have a back-up plan to stay short.
The alternative is of course to take a look at Google earth and check some photos in a broshure;
thats probably the best visiting experience of Santorini.

To our shame, it's four years since we stayed at the Pelagos and we have never got round to giving a review. And this, a place that we immediately said we would love to return to!
Don't know if the staff have changed now but we found them to be extremely helpful - our delayed arrival was 1am but someone waited up for us and helped us settle in. Antonis was the guy in charge at that time and he always took an interest in our happiness with the place (although he did accuse me of snoring by the pool once). Put together some great chillout music for the pool area too!
We would readily book again - must make that happen!

We stayed two nights at Pelagos. It on the north end of the island, just outside of Oia. The staff was great and very helpful with getting our excursion booked (sailboat trip).

The hotel is a little off the beaten path, but has an excellent pool (not to mention food and beverages).

My friend and I met up in Athens last week and headed over to Santorini. We actually didn't stay at this hotel, rather a hotel down the street. Since the owner of the hotel we stayed at was completely unhelpful, we walked over to Pelagos. Antonis was more than willing to help us out - he ordered an ATV for us to rent and told us the best ways to get around the island and the best things to see. The day we left he even arranged a taxi for us. The staff here was so welcoming and helpful to us that I will definitely be staying at Pelagos on my next visit to Santorini!
