This hotel was ok but if I went back to Oia I would only stay on the other side of the street with a caldera view as that is what Oia is about. The hotel was fine but 3 1/2 star. Location was good but just on the wrong side of the street. Best thing we did was the afternoon evening sunset catamaran tour for 80 euro fantastic. we also hired a car, a bit stressful! The food was sensational in every eatery. 3 nights would have been enough in Oia. Don't go to Santorini for the beaches they are terrible!

We stayed here on our second honeymoon in July 2010 and found it to be a charming hotel with very nice and helpful staff. We arrived early and were given a room that didn't have much ventilation and so it smelled pretty musty; we asked for a new room and moved across the hall to a much nicer smelling room. The hostess was very kind and helpful throughout our week there. We would definitely stay there again!

Notwithstanding our confirmed reservation, made by way of the hotels website, we were informed upon arrival that no room was available and that we had been allocated a room in a better hotel with a caldera view. This we accepted, subject to seeing the room. After an hours waiting and walking around Oia in the midday sun we descended a huge number of steps to a hotel benefiting from a filthy pool, hostel quality accommodation and an aggressive and rude lady who purported to be the manager. The view was impressive (as we were informed repeatedly by the alleged propriator) but was in no way able to compensate for the hotels' failings generally. In Best Westerns defence, and in response to our less than enthusiastic reaction to the 'alternative accommodation', a room was then offered which corresponded with our original booking. This room was was 'ok' had it not been for a bathroom, the size of which allowed you to use the shower and the toilet at the same time, and an air conditioning unit in the bedroom that was so noisy that it would not have been out of place in Guantanamo Bay, should the US marine corps tire of it's current methods of sensory depravation and aural torture interrogation techniques. Would certainly not recommend this hotel, to anyone I liked.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time and write to us regarding your stay at the Best Western Museum Spa Wellness Hotel.

We would like to mention that we are very proud of our Honeymoon Suite, which went under complete renovation at the end of 2010, considerably enlarged the size of the room, equipped with new and modern furniture, in order to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for our guests.

We are disappointed to read that you did not enjoyed the amazing panoramic view over the Caldera, and the famous sunset of Santorini, that the Honeymoon Suite has to offer, or the full enriched continental breakfast with a variety of hot and cold dishes, or our outdoor swimming pool.

As far as we understood from our Front Desk team, you had expressed your dissatisfaction in regards of Santorini island itself, as it was not what you were expected, and left the island earlier than scheduled , as you were unhappy with the previous hotel that you booked ( your initial booking was for another property, located on the cliff of Oia).

We do admit that the island of Santorini is a more appropriate destination for a couple’s getaway, who wants to enjoy a peaceful and quiet holiday, away form the noise of a big city, known as the Blue Island/ Lovers Island.

We would like to assure you that we will keep working hard to develop and improve our services, taking into account any comments and proposals and we really thank you for giving us this opportunity.

Best regards,

The Management

This hotel has 2 locations. The spa in the middle of the predestrian walkway is convienient and okay. The prime location is at the northwest end with the cave rooms. The caves were converted into very nice suites. This location has fantastic private views of the sunset. No cramming into public areas for us. The sunsets were so beautiful that we made sure we were back in time to see it every night we were there. This place was also located close to the port for Caldera boat rides. The only requirement to enjoy this fantastic hotel is that you have to walk alot of stairs. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter and I had a truly memorable experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sunset view.

It's a long story but we moved to this hotel because the hotel that we were staying in had mold problems. I felt that this hotel would be downgrade from the last but boy was I wrong. The rooms were spacious, with a nice view of the pool area. The hotel even had a spa which I heard was pretty good. The service was great, and the rooms CLEAN! Best of all this hotel is located right in the heart of Oia. Right accross from the hotel is a great restaurant with amazing views of the sunset. You are in the middle of the action in this hotel.

The only negative is that they don't offer Wi-fi in the rooms you have to go to the reception area.

Beautiful setting and our suite was perfectly located over looking the caldera and the famous sunset .We found the staff to be very friendly and speaking excellent english. Go with the flow, relax, treat the staff as welcoming host and not simply as service provider, smile, chat and quite simply, enjoy every minute of this amazing island. We cant wait to get back there again. Thanks so much Iveta,Tia,Ana Maria , was a great 5 days. Loved every second of it!
