Iand my hubby spent 2 nights at pezoules in august on our vacation to santorini. This place is beautiful with amazing view and service. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They helped us make all reservations for dinners n cruises as well as gave us awesome recommendations on places to see in santorini....this place is right on the cliffs of oia with perfect caldera view ....must go and stay place!

View: As good as it can get.

Rooms: Regardless of which room you stay in, each one has an amazing view.

Staff: Very Friendly staff. Owners (Mr. Dmitry and his daughter Ioli) are the friendliest and most helpful of hotel owners. They recommended us all the good places in Oai and Santorini and made reservations for every thing for us (sunset cruise, dinners, taxies etc) and we loved all the places recommended by them.

At the beginning of August, my wife and I managed to escape for 4 days during our annual summer week visit to Greece to spend some time alone in Santorini. It was a last minute trip and we got the recommendation to stay at Pezoules from a family friend who spends his summers in Oia. And what a truly special place it was! Pezoules is a small (6 rooms) boutique hotel, perched up on the rock in Oia. Our room had a cozy, private balcony with breathtaking unobstructed views of the Caldera. One can literally spend the entire day out there, admiring the ever changing colors of the land and water as the sun travels from behind the island on the left until it sets behind the far end of Oia on the right. From the early hours of the morning (thank you, jetlag!), to the bright Aegean midday sun, to the majestic colors of the sunset and into the evening with shimmering lights of Fira in a distance.

Unlike some of the other bigger and insanely expensive luxury hotels around it that seem overrun by armies of maids buzzing around the rooms, Pezoules is operated by the owner Dimitri, his wife Mirella and a couple of extremely nice young staff. Always smiling and eager to help, from making recommendations and reservations for some of the best non-touristy restaurants on the island, to providing suggestions for places to visit and things to see, they were always around to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. And speaking of food, the phenomenal breakfast (including traditional greek yogurt, fresh baked bread, cheese pie drizzled with honey and freshly squeezed juice) prepared on the premises every morning by Mirella that we enjoyed in the privacy of your own balcony was one of the highlights of our stay. As were the early evening cocktails!

Pezoules was built over the course of the last five winters (construction in Santorini stops early in the spring and resumes late in the fall to avoid disturbing the tourist season) and apparently this is the first summer that the hotel is in full operation. The attention to detail in both the rooms and the common areas is truly impressive by any standard. Gentle curves and tasteful architectural details adorn every space. It's pretty obvious that the owners took as much pride in building the space as they take running it. Our room was built in a old "cave", a hole dug out on the side of the steep hill. It was spacious with a king size bed, a comfortable sitting area, a minbar and fridge tastefully hidden behind closet doors, and a unique bathroom carved into the rock without a single sharp corner. The room was simply but tastefully decorated and included top quality linens, bedding, pillows, soft towels and bathrobes. And of course with a shutters open, a breathtaking view of the "big blue" without even getting out of the bed.

If you are looking for a place to completely unwind in a setting with unmatched beauty, Oia and Pezoules should be at the top of your list.

...now rush to contact Dimitri, Pezoules owner/host, and keep your fingers crossed that he can offer you accommodations on your chosen dates! While I endorse all the positive comments made by numerous reviewers on this site, it is difficult to capture in words the satisfaction and enjoyment one derives from a stay at Pezoules. The rooms are lovely and immaculate with bath and pool towels plentiful, top-notch bathroom facilities and a scrumptious bed with nightly turn-down service that includes a small sweet with which to close out your day. The staff is nothing short of amazing. They are, first and foremost, dedicated to your well-being and no request goes unaddressed nor do you have to ask anyone anything twice. What sets the staff apart is the sincerity with which they endeavor to meet or exceed your requirements and expectations.

There is no getting lost in the shuffle at Pezoules. Eat when you want, swim when you want and the ever-present Nick is always there to create a masterful concoction for you at the pool bar. As noted by others, the fare Mirella (owner/wife of Dimitri) sends forth from the kitchen is delicious and unusual. Speaking of the pool, our stay was six nights. Several days my wife and I decided to start off with a dip in the pool and wound up spending hours hanging over the infinity edge gazing out at the volcano and otherwise incredibly beautiful view.

A review would not be complete without a mention of Valentino who seems to be everywhere all at the same time and always with a gracious smile. He will seem like your personal staff. In fact, he will be your personal staff!

Now completing its first year of business, soon it will be almost impossible to book accommodations due to the popularity of this boutique, luxury hotel. If you've chosen Santorini, stay at Pezoules and let Dimitri be your guide...

Room Tip: We stayed in Mentha but heard no complaints from other guests staying in the other five rooms and fe...

What a beautiful, calm hotel perched on the cliffs of Oia!
Partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in June after a few days in Mykonos to unwind. This is a stunning spot and the hotel is really beautiful with individuality in each of the unique cave rooms. The staff were particularly warm and welcoming, without being over intrusive. Valentino and Nicolas were always on hand for drinks, food and luggage when needed, and reception was always happy to make any arrangements. The lovely owners, a husband and wife team, have spent a long time creating something special and it shows. The relaxed feel of the place encourages the small number of guests to unwind and let life slow down. With only a handful of rooms, and a recent opening, It was a real pleasure to have stayed here.

Rooms are simply Appointed but with and emphasis on quality throughout. Very comfortable beds, assortments of soft fluffy towels and well stocked minibars with a small kitchenette in each. Rooms have polished concrete floors and polished plaster walls and bathroom, all of which adds to the cave feeling, but with a definite quality and spotless cleanliness.

The property is accessed from the main pedestrian street of Oia by a pathway that leads to a couple of hotels. On the property each room is then accessed by interconnecting steps leading to each small terrace. Not for those with diced mobility but then again, Oia is entirely hanging from a cliff so not the best choice unless you can comfortably manage lots of steps.

Greek and healthy option breakfasts were served on our terrace each morning, and we enjoyed the lovely fresh Greek yoghurt, which partner particularly enjoyed, cheese, fruit and backed pastries with one of the most stunning caldera views on Santorin.

There is a small pool for cooling down which is much needed after walking down and up to Amoudi, or just enjoying the Santorin sun. Perched on the side of cliffs, Oia probably isn't a sun worshiper's paradise... But you can hit the beaches if you really want that.

Room Tip: All the rooms are very lovely. Levanta room is the most private.

My wife and i spent a week at this hotel at the end of June. What can i say other than it was spectactular from start to finish. Dimitri (the owner) and his wife are incredible hosts. The hotel is clean, simple, new and yet luxuriously comfortable. Unbelievable unencumbered views of the caldera from our terrace - and sunshine until sunset: truly the best on the island.
Magnificent meals on our terrace, incredibly gracious and accomodating staff, views, sun...... simply spendid. We are extemely well travelled and i have to say this was one of the best experiences we have ever had. Bravo to Pezoules. We highly recommend this small boutique hotel. Dimitri, you are a role model for the hospitality industry, we wish you every success for the future and we will defintely see you again, soon. (Stan & Annabelle)

The view from this little boutique hotel is mind blowing! It takes one's breath away. The rooms are great - clean, simple but luxurious, and perfectly decorated. The swimming pool is fantastic - that view again! The owners, Dimitri and his wife Mirella, are very friendly and informative, The beach is a 30-40 minute car ride away (car hire is essential). The village of Oia is pristine and upmarket, but possibly more traditional than trendy when it comes to shopping. But t is seriously the view that cannot be beaten - and the rooms are definitely nice bough to chill in at the end of a day while looking out over the caldera. I would certainly return to this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in the cave rooms. They were great, and different! We had

This is my first review on trip advisor and I thought I had to sign up and review this hotel in Oia as it is definately worth a mention. My wife and I have just spent a week at Pezoules Hotel and have loved every minute of it. It has been the most relaxing holiday I think I've ever had. Every aspect of our holiday was made all the better for having stayed at Pezoules. Everyone is very welcoming from the owners Dimitri & Mirella to all of the staff. We ate twice here during our one week stay and on reflection we wished we'd eaten here more often. Mirella's cooking has to be sampled. It is very much on the list for a return trip.
