My husband and I stayed here for two weeks last week. The owners were very friendly. The people that work there specifically Panos and Athena went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Hands down best place to view the sunset! It got very very busy beginning around 7:00 pm with tourists wanting to be at that point to view the sunset. Amazing breakfast as well!

Our family of four stayed here July 3-7, 2014. The family running this hotel and all of their staff are delightful. You are greeted with a smile every time you see them. They were so helpful at all times. Mr. Morali speaks very good English. No problems with communication. Unfortunately, three of the four days we were there , the wind blew very hard. This kept us from exploring more of the island. The rooms are clean and neat, but know they are built into the side of the mountain and the bathrooms are tiny and there is not much room in the bedrooms. Not to worry though, as the view from these villas is absolutely beautiful. One can't really imagine how beautiful it is-you have to see it to believe it. This Streets of Oia are absolutely stunning and fun to explore. Many beautiful things to look at and purchase. We even went to the Kissing Fish and had fish pedicures which was quite an experience! The catamaran cruise that Mr. Morali recommended was excellent. If you visit here, you really should take that trip. We had read on trip advisor before we went about a new restaurant called Melitini. We searched it out, as it's not very easy to find, and we were rewarded for our efforts. This restaurant is truly Greek and wonderful! Be sure to go and eat at Melitini if you visit the golden Sunset villas. Walk down the marble path past the children's playground to The Filotera Villas. Take the side street to the left all the way down to the main road. It will be on your right. After dinner, walk back up to the main marble path and take it to the open square where the large church is located, hang a right and walk down to the street to Lolita's for some gelato that you will not forget, as it is that good! We would definitely stay here again, I only hope we can return one day!

My Wife and I stayed for 3 nights in June.... This small hotel offers "cave" accommodations with private balcony , kitchen, full bath and the most spectacular view! Extremely well maintained and a great value ( for Oia, which is generally quite expensive ). the Owner is a wonderful man that treats every guest like his long lost cousin & He and his staff are the perfect hosts!

Highly Recommend!

The hotel is designed to make your vacation unforgettable!! We stayed at windmill room - and that windmill is one of Oia's symbols you can see almost at every postcard. So every time you see Santorini picture you can see your hotel and feel the sweet memories of your stay! ))
We travelled through the island by car and it was not so easy to find the right way to the hotel - you drive to the very end of Oia towards Ammoudi and leave the car at the last parking on your right. You cannot see the hotel from your parking lot but there is a short walk up the small street under the sign Kyklos.
The hotel owner Kyriakos was very hospitable and happy to see us like we were his old friends! :-) The windmill room has three stores - 1. dining room with little kitchen; 2. bedroom with small bathroom; 3. tiny bedroom under the roof. Everything is relatively new and nice. The steep stone staircase goes to the bedroom - watch out!
The best place of the our room is huge terrace that goes around the windmill! There is a lot room to find the best place for tonight to watch your personal sunset - wicker armchairs and a couch to relax, two sunbeds or couple chairs with a small table to have a glass of wine before night walk!
Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 11 at a small patio with terrific view over caldera! Normally you have scrambled eggs, some cereals, salami and cheese, fresh bread, jam, honey. And the chef will make a cup (or two)) of good coffee for you!!
Such a good start makes your day full and energetic! :-)

Room Tip: The cave rooms are good and cozy. But the windmill room is the only! You will forget ordinary hote...

We stayed at the Golden Sunset Villas June 9-10 and had a great time. Views don't get much better than this. I must have taken a hundred photos easily. We saw someone taking wedding photos here during the day and later in the evening someone proposed to his girlfriend right next to us during the sunset. What a night!

The owner and everyone working at Golden Sunset Villas were extremely nice and helpful. While the rooms were fairly basic they were nice and the view is why you are really coming here anyway. We were also upgraded to a two-bedroom villa during our stay as well. Definite plus!

We never took the long walk down the steps but did enjoy lounging around the balcony and watching the views. The restaurants close by were also fabulous. Perfect stay!

Room Tip: We stayed right under the windmill. Perfect spot with amazing view!

Had a perfect Santorini holiday thanks to Golden Sunset. The owner provided impeccable hands-on service, including (I) personally attending to our early check-in at 4am and arranging for a porter, (II) arranging all our tours and taxis and personally ensuring that problems are rectified when the tour company fouls up and (III) personally seeing to our late departure at 8.30pm. More importantly, the sunset view from the property is perfect, as advertised. The rooms were not luxurious, but cosy and comfortable.

you cannot beat the location. The staff is extremely helpful and were full of excellent recommendations. It is close to everything but just tucked away enough where you are not swarmed by the crowds of sunset seekers. The views from our apartment were spectacular.
