“Most romantic stay imaginable.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2008

I love this place! It is a private paradise with the most beautiful sunset view in Santorini. Our room 'Aqua' had its own heated private pool off the bathroom. Incredible! It doesn't get more romantic than this. Swimming together in a privacy, putting on a robe and wandering onto that patio to enjoy some complimentary champagne while watching the sunset. If I return to Santorini I intend to plan my trip around when I can get into the same room.

Certainly this magnificent hotel-boutique corresponds to beauty of island Santorini. We stayed for three nights in Aqua - Marine suite (see photos). Though maybe not absolutely convenient and big rooms. The internal pool is more for design, than for swimming. In a jacuzzi on a terrace water is cold and strongly smelled chlorine (as well as in pool). But as a whole fine impression. The hotel personnel - students from all world. More precisely one girl (the main manager) from Patagonia (Chile) and one guy (the porter and cleaner) from Poland. It was very pleasant to communicate with them. Though there were some misunderstanding (called by hotel taxi for cruise around island has arrived with hour delay as has mistake a city on Santirini. But it is more fault of taxi office). Highly recommended.

We spent four nights at Aspaki in the Romeo and Juliet room. We had been to Santorini before, and wanted to return for the wonderful views. Aspaki is located in the center of Oia. In fact most visitors to Oia seem to take a picture of it, standing by itself at the edge of the caldera. Once you go through the gates, you find yourself in a wonderfully private location. We had wanted to book Endless Blue, but it was unavailable for our dates. While we liked Romeo and Juliet, we would have preferred a small couch instead of the tiny decorative chairs in both the kitchen/dining room and the bedroom. We love to read in the evening after dinner, and the bedroom did not provide enough light to read in bed or to read on the little chairs. Dimitri has indicated that there will be an upgrade to Aspaki over the winter, and he asked for suggestions, so we did give him our thoughts. We really enjoyed our terrace and the sunbeds and side terrace as we spent our four days relaxing and loving the view.

  • Liked — The privacy and the location
  • Disliked — Lack of comfortable seating and the dated bathroom

This absolutley met my expectaions, you will not be dissapointed (at least if you stay in the sunset room) I can assure you of that. I can not describe how breathtaking the Sunset suite is, it was absolutley perfect. The hotels location and its views are second to none on the whole island. Litterally people will point at you as you enter the hotel wondering who you are that you could stay in such a place (little do they know its quite affordable). Other than the room the staff of this hotel is also phenominal, with excellent reccomendations on everything you could ever want or need to know (including what local wines to purchase). We stayed in Volcano as well for a few nights and it also has great views.

I really reccomend this hotel a great deal and would stay again in a heatbeat. I will say that we went in October, there is a tub but no pool so be aware of that as the ocean is great but it's a ways down to get to it. Also like everything in Oia the stairs, which are critical for access, are common for the 3 or so nicest rooms. These link the patios together to provide access. Other guests and staff will occasionally pass down between your patio and your room, though the hotel has curtains on the patio which provide 100% privacy. Volcano has it's own private patio. Again no big deal just an fyi.

My wife and I spent 4 nights of our honeymoon in the Endless Blue Honeymoon Suite. It exceeded all our expectations and was the highlight of our entire trip.

The location is ideal. It is centrally located on the main footpath in Oia, yet situated out on a promontory overlooking the caldera giving it a buffer from the crowds. Photographer sand sunset watchers gather on the walkway leading to the property each night giving you a feeling of celebrity as you walk by and into your room. Many of the great restaurants of Oia can be reached within a couple minute walk.

The interior of the suite is very charming. It has been decorated and furnished very tastefully and artistically. The suite consists of a moderate size living area, small bathroom, full kitchen (with a beautiful view of the caldera) and a bedroom loft...

And then there is the veranda. WOW! The views are absolutely breathtaking. In the distance you can see Fira, Imerovigli and Firostefani and to either side and behind the surrounding village of Oia. And directly in front/below you have the constant beauty of the caldera.

Our stay in the Endless Blue was absolutely perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique place with plenty of charm and character (with the BEST view in Oia).

I will caution that someone looking for luxury on the level of the Grand Bretagne in Athens or the Ritz will probably be disappointed. Otherwise you will love it.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Deep Blue Suite. The views are magnificent; one can sit on the terrace for hours and just stare. The best thing about the hotel, though, is not the views, but the privacy. The hotel location is convenient to the center of Oia, but the terraces are completely quiet and relaxing. Also, with the design of the property, there is no one wandering through aimlessly as there are at some of the hotels. Service is exactly what it needs to be - they provide a cell phone to be able to reach the hotel caretaker 24-7; he cleans the rooms at the guest's convenience and is always available to help with anything that may be needed. Overall, an excellent stay, particularly for a relaxed romantic getaway.

We stayed in the Deep Blue suite for 2 nights in Sept(9/9 - 11/9). I cannot recommend the place highly enough. The suite was the most beautiful and unusual room I have ever stayed in. And then you have the view which is amazing. We had our own balcony and even though Aspaki is in the centre of very busy Oia, we were completely secluded and it was totally private. We were meet at the bus stop by Nicholas who brought us to our room and insisted on carrying all our luggage - poor guy. Both Nicholas and Dimitri were a delight to deal with. We barely left our room during our stay, spending the evenings sipping champagne while admiring the sunset. If you are looking for somewhere to stay with professional and friendly service, picture perfect views and incredible rooms, then Aspaki is for you.
