“Luxurious”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

A word to describe the Aspaki hotel is luxurious. We splurged one night of our three night stay in Santorini and decided to book this hotel based on reviews. Located on the cliff facing the caldera it has impressive views of Ia (as the locals call it) and the sea. No wonder why this town is always on top of the places to visit before you die. It's absolutely stunning. No sunset views though, for that you would have to stay at their sister property, however you can still enjoy wonderful views of the caldera and Oia itself which are equally outstanding. We booked the honeymoon suite (which is basically any of the 8 rooms the hotel has) and we were allocated to room 108, the one farther down and closest to the sea. The room was huge compared to all other rooms we have stayed in during our trip to Greece, with the bathroom being by far the most spacious and luxurious of them all, however the bedroom was kind of tight. Although basic and minimalist, it exuded luxury. It also had by far the best TV and the best cover of the fuse box! and a complimentary bottle of champaigne! The room was kind of inside the mountain, a cave suite if you will, and we had a "private" pool across the room, which was more like a deep hot tub also kind of embedded in the cliff. The room also comes with some sun beds, which can also be construed as private as, at least while we were there, nobody wondered that far down. Breakfast was really really good, which was expected for the price, especially the orange juice, the best we had during the whole trip. The pastries were also very good. Staff was attentive, specially the "sherpa" (I think Sami was his name) that carries the luggage to the hotel through the narrow streets of Oia full of "cruisaders" and up and down the very steep cliffs, my hats to him, but service was spotty. During our booking process communication wasn't very fluid as I had to send several times the same email to get a response, which was kind of a let down as for that price you would expect the most personalized service of them all. In all honesty for the price I was expecting more. More what? I can't say, but definitively more!

We decided last minute to extend our stay in Santorini after 2 nights stay in another hotel in Oia. On our walk in the town we saw the most amazing hotel situated in the best possible spot of Oia, called Aspaki. We called and after we were shown around we decided to change our flights and booked another 3 nights in Santorini at the Aspaki. Our cave pool suite was a 2 bedroom suite, minimal design and featuring the most comfortable bed. We had a view of the pool from the small window in the bedroom, very nice.
Large balcony with sea view and comfortable lounge area. Breakfast was delicious and all staff was very attentive and helpful. We also enjoyed our drinks on the large deck featuring a stunning boat jacuzzi, simply amazing.

You've seen the photos...you wowed at the white and blue colours cascading down the hills into the beautiful sea....Oia will not disappoint...Santorini's calderas are phenomenal...and Oia is its best offering...
Art Maisons sits on top of the highest vantage point at Oia, the view from every part of the hotel is breathtaking...getting there is a 45 minute easy drive from the airport (book a shared limo), then a short walk and a few stairs away, the world is literally under your feet....you will gasp when you first walk down the steps to the hotel, and then every time you come in and out...
Service is friendly, from manager to waitress to housekeeping to utility...Anna, Pauline, Daniella and Sami made our stay that much more special...
Our cave pool suite was nice, room service is not available which was disappointing, and the TV is
not in the bedroom, it is with the couch at the entrance of the room and not visible, the walk down the cave to the WC is annoying at night but you get used to it...our cave pool was a disappointment, it is overrated as it is indoor, we had expected the outdoor one which was in room 106 as opposed to 105...Breakfast is fine, not great...we heard they were changing the chef...
The common area on the roof boasts a jacuzzi and sun beds...and best of all it overlooks both sides of the island...simply unbelievable views all around...
Bring your own snacks and you will love spending a couple of hours in the common area just basking in the sun and taking this spectacular view in...
Even though the final minutes of the famous Santorini sunset are not visible from Art Maisons, the colours that it creates are stunning...Anna gave us the best recommendations for activities and made sure our stay is memorable...
Would we go again? To Oia? YES
To Art Maisons....maybe, if we get 106 and if they elevate services to become more than the wonderful personal touch of the team at the hotel...
As is...not great value for money....

Room Tip: There are 8 rooms in total....Room 1 is the highest and best view with very nice terrace...Room 5 an...

We splurged one night and stayed in this lovely place. It was literally like a dream. The cave suite was extremely roomy with a couch, kitchenette, private balcony with hot tub.. We wished we had splurged more nights and stayed here our entire stay in Santorini. I read on Travel Advisor to stay away from cave suites as they can feel "claustrophobic" without windows and such. Our room had several windows - one right next to the bed so we could lay there and see the ocean. It was brilliant. We had an in-room refrigerator and ice maker. Complimentary champagne for our first sunset. Spectators outside of our room who were there viewing the sunset saw the two of us in the hot tub with our champagne and commented on how ridiculously amazing our situation was. It truly was! In addition, the hotel staff was incredible. Well organized with a porter to carry our luggage up and down (he was a dream!). Also, our breakfast which was complimentary was delicious! We had croissants, omelets, fruit, coffee, orange juice.. the works! Will definitely come again! xo

Room Tip: We asked for a room with a private balcony and hot tub. I believe every room overlooks the ocean and...

We loved staying here; we were highly impressed with everything from our fully private and spacious balconies, unbelievable views, prime location, peaceful atmosphere, interior design, personal cook, etc ..We stayed in the “Endless Blue” and “Atmospherico” suites. I can’t tell which one is better .. I am writing my many thanks to Daniela, the cooks and all the hotel stuff for the personalised attention and service.
This place was over our regular hotel budget, but it was well worth the spent; and if I am back in Santorini, would not look for anything else.

Room Tip: “Endless Blue” is the top suite “Atmospherico” is one level below these two are the best rooms

Location of the Oia Castle Hotel has to be among the best in Santorini. You can see famous Oia sunset from your own terrace, something that everyone on the island come to see to the same place - Oia Castle - or nearby.
Olympic suite was really nice. Quite spacious, must be over 100 m2 with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, big living room and an indoor pool. Kitchen had an oven, a big fridge and an espresso machine. Microwave oven was missing as also all accessories to make food such as cattles, pans, etc.
Two-storey terrace was nice, lower one to have a breakfast out (big table also in the living room) and higher level for sunbath and looking for the sunset.
Breakfast was pre-ordered day before, and to be honest, it was quite pathetique. They should outsource it to some of the good restaurants nearby, or at least offer such as an option. Coffee had to be made by yourself.
Otherwise everything worked as it should.

We loved staying here. Everyone was so helpful and we couldn't have picked a more perfect spot for a romantic sunset view. The hotel staff was so nice and even upgraded us into a nicer suite! There were a lot of stairs near the hotel and the hotel staff was so helpful in moving our bags. was so nice and helpful, even offering to drive us to Fira at night. Oia is a great place to stay in my opinion. If you wait a more romantic, quieter experience I would stay in Oia. If you are in your 20s and want to party stay in Fira. Our room, the Marine Deluxe Suite was nice with a direct view of the sunset. With a hot tub on a private balcony just down a set of stairs was great for a private way off the crowded streets to watch the sunset. With the hotel's amazing view of the sunset people line up around and near the hotel to watch the sunset. However, the balcony is tucked away far enough away to give you some privacy.
