“Amazing View! Great Service & Hotel”
Reviewed 13 November 2011

We stayed at Andronis for our Honeymoon in May 2008 and till now, we keep on looking back at the pictures and remembering how great is this small boutique Hotel.

The views from the rooms are simply amazing as the room is perched on top of a cliff and there is even a private jacuzzi in the room overlooking on the ocean. The room itself is nice & clean and very minimalist.

The service was very personalised and all the staff always tries its best to help you. The breakfast in the bedroom is delicious but we felt quite sorry for the butler who had to bring all the plates up the hundreds of steps from the kitchen to the room every morning. The restaurant by the pool is also very good and the Hotel is well positioned on a small busy street next to cafes and restaurants while still being quite secluded due to its location on the cliff.

Looking most forward to going back to Santorini soon!

We celebrated our 10th anniversuiaty in early June 2010 with a 4 day stay at the Andronis. Beautfiful location in Oia, overlooking the caldera. Great service, with personal attention: Personable without being intrusive. Restaurant was very good and can provide one or two tables with panoramic view. Room was very large with interesteing, unusual bathroom carved in the rock(with steam shower, bath-pool, etc.). Lots of stairs on property. Staf helped us arrange for activities on santorini, from sail boat rental to car rental to restaurant reservation. Fantastic way to start a vacation in Greece / Mediterranean. Would recommend without hesitation (unless one has difficulty with staris, a constant in Santorini). Great place.

My wife and I were here for our honeymoon and have only great things to say about this place.

Location: the most amazing part of Santorini. Oia is very picturesque and this hotel had amazing views from all it's rooms.

Service: We haven't experienced service like this and we do spend a lot of time in high end hotels. Every small detail is taken care and every small need is seen to. The staff truly are phenomenal.

Food: We expected Michelin star quality and we got exactly that.

We will most certainly be back.

The rooms were ultra clean and comfortable. The location is about 10 minutes from all the main restaurants, but the walk into town is lovely and I managed it easy being 7 months pregnant at the time. Its in a very quiet location, witht he most amazing views, so would recommend to anyone wanting to get out of the main town but not being too far away. The pool was lovely. It was nice having breakfast being bought to the room at your requested time every morning consisting omelette, cheese toastie, cake, orange juice, coffee, tea, bread and condiments. Nothing special but pretty good

The champagne welcome, the friendliest and most helpful staff, the most amazingly desgined rooms and a breakfast EXPERIENCE that we wont forget.
My new wife and I started our Honeymoon staying in Andronis for 4 nights and with expectations already extremely high from all the photos i was ready to be dissapointed. To our absolute delight every element of Andronis far surpassed our expectations.
The hotel is quite expensive but its the first time I have left a hotel and thought...should we have paid more for that.
This is and will be one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Everyone has to go to Santorini at least once…and NOT on a cruise ship! After 4 trips, I still believe Oia, one of the most charming towns in the world, is THE place to stay on the island. And why go there at all if you’re not right on the Caldera?. The view is deeply affecting and astonishingly beautiful. You’ll pay more but it will stay with you forever.
Andronis is one of the cushiest lodgings in Oia, and the only one of those that’s in the center of the village. The design team went all out to create original spaces that reflect the character of the Caldera in a dramatic but minimalist way. We were upgraded to a suite with a private terrace complete with hot tub. (In my opinion, a private terrace is a requirement for truly enjoying the stillness and peace of the Caldera, though certainly not in the heat of the day.)
The staff at Andronis is extremely accommodating. They’ve really nailed guest service. The breakfasts, generous and delicious, were a highpoint each day. Oia can clog up during the day with cruise ship travelers but in the morning and evening (after sunset) it’s peaceful and enduring. To escape during the day, we took a taxi to Fira and walked back along the rim of the Caldera and over the mountain. Another great excursion is the catamaran outing that leaves from Amoudi, the port below Oia, and sails to various swimming holes and beaches. A grilled fish lunch at Amoudi is also always on our itinerary.
There are a few small details that Andronis should attend to...the bed linens and pillows could be better. There should be a third sheet and mattress pads, and please, please, get rid of those attached hangers. And a word of caution: Oia would be difficult for someone who has trouble with steps. Go while you’re young!!

Room Tip: Let them them know what your steps tolerance is when making your reservation.

We spent 9 nights with an Exceptional suite booking. They ended up upgrading us to the Pool Suite for the last 4 nights. Incredible views from your balcony, great service from all staff. Everyone knew your name instantly and were prompt, professional, and went the extra mile for you. All fluent in English as well. We did the wine tasting and dinner at the table on the point. Amazing evening, knowledgable sommelier and great food. I would highly recommend this hotel for a couple vacation or getaway. Best in Santorini in every way! I rated the fitness centre as average because we didn't use it or even inquire.

Room Tip: It appears the if available they will upgrade you. We had both an exceptional suite and a pool suit...
