They say you know you are lucky when you witness a moon rise.
We watched the famous sunset in Oia Santorini from our hotel balcony’s jacuzzi. The young ones who sat on the cliff, clapped their hands when the sun finally went down. It was overrated.
The moon rise out of the sea that we saw from our table at Ambrosia (meaning the food of the gods) in Oia was an unforgettable experience.
You must book in advance for a romantic table dressed in white linen cloth overlooking the caldera.
Food was above average. Service was personal and friendly. The restaurant boss was there welcoming guests. This is fine dining so expect to pay a lot more for the view and food. So worth it!
I sure hope to visit the moon again.
