My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in August. The hotel is located right on the central street in Thira, going through Santorini. The location is perfect, close to the city, the bus station and pretty much everything in Thira. The room was very clean, we were quite impressed. Every room has a balcony which is very lovely in Santorini. The pool is very nice and large enough to enjoy. The breakfasts consist of toast, cheese, ham, cake, honey and yogurt- it's not a lot, but we're not huge eaters and it was just enough. The hotel is great for the price (as compared to the caldera view accommodations with prices out of this world). Only caution I have is the shower curtain, which is pretty much useless so we ended up taking showers without it; and the street noise (mainly from the scooters) if you are facing the street (the pool side is very quiet). We rented an ATV and were able to park it at the hotel overnight with no problems. Overall a great stay!

Room Tip: It can get a bit noisy from the street side

Although this hotel doesn't have a caldera view we really enjoyed staying here. The rooms on the roadside are noisy but we moved after the first night to a great room - big, comfortable and with a large balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was fine and free wifi in the lobby. Really helpful staff too. You are a couple of minutes walk from the bus station which was good as we travelled round the island and a few minutes walk from the caldera as well. Fantastic value.

Room Tip: Ask for poolside rooms

This was a good hotel in Fira for the price. In June it was 45 euros. It's located along the road parallel to the caldera but down the hill, below the bus station. The rooms on the main road were very loud due to motorcycles and 4-wheelers going by but I moved to an inside room which was great. Breakfast is included here. To get there, take the local bus from the ferry, much cheaper than a taxi. Then you walk across the street and it's right there.

Room Tip: Ask for an inside room, off the main road

We stayed just 1 night at the Nissos Thira before catching an early flight home. Having spent the earlier part of the holiday in the more luxurious Artemis Villas (also on Santorini) and the Poseidon of Paros (on the island of Paros) we were pleasantly surprised with our room. The service, as we experienced everywhere on Santorini, was excellent and the location of the hotel perfect: minutes from the main bus station and the centre of Fira. Our room was large and spotlessly clean, there is a pretty pool area and because the hotel is set back from the caldera views the value for money is unbeatable.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor if you possibly can - its noisy

We took the bus from the airport, got out at the Fira busstop, took a left and the hotel was literally 3 minutes that way! Located in the middle of the mountain, it was at the base of the town center - 2 minute walke up the mountain and the core of Fira was there: shops, cute restaurants, bars, more shops. You literally walk maybe 4 minutes from the hotel and you have a perfect view of the Caldera. Most hotels in this area are at least 150 Euros +, so at 65/nt, Nissos Thira was by far the best deal available! Free breakfast buffet, basic but delicious, free wifi in the public areas, nice, clean pool, and very friendly staff. Due to the Greek strike, they allowed me to use their printer for my flight change documents. They also hooked us up with a water taxi tour - 15 E at Kalamari Tours - for a hike in the volcano and swim in the hot springs!
The room was large, which is not common in Europe, with several tables, a big fridge, a nice balcony over the pool. It was perfect because we lik to go out, but we don't like to sleep and hear other people out. Totally silent. The room also had AC, which we didn't need since the wind is always blowing cool air. The bathroom floor drain overflowed a bit from the sink and the shower leaked a little, but I consider that peanuts for our great deal.
We also rented a scooter, and they offered free parking; a little cubby off of the street next to our room.
