“This hotel is perfect.”
Reviewed 29 July 2013 via mobile

I've travelled worldwide and this hotel is perfect.

You cannot find a better location that is complete central and yet so quiet.

I don't even need to tell you about the view from your room. Spectacular!

Breakfast is amazing. You order whatever you want and it's included in the price. The pool is awesome. This is such a boutique hotel that there are never too many people at the pool or anywhere else for that matter. Get a room with a private balcony....you will not regret it.
You'll find yourself not wanting to leave the hotel or pool area...which is totally fine.

Great location, nice management, amazing views. Yes - there are a lot of steps, but this comes with staying on the Caldera... we had a 'petite suite' which was basically a nice room with a fridge and small cooking area - but the real treat is the balcony ... perfect view of the water, the sailboats, the volcano, etc. The staff were wonderful with great recommendations and willingness to help make it a special stay. Every day was a custom breakfast. We had a night flight, so they let us use the showers by the pool for our last day 'clean-up' before we flew out.

Room Tip: Expect a lot of steps, but then enjoy the views when you arrive.

everybody seems to be complaining about the steps, so this might be helpful: if you book the honeymoon suite (which happens to be very nice with a terrace overlooking the caldera and amazing sunsets), you don't have to deal with the steps. the lift goes down all the way, and breakfast is in the cafe on the top floor. taking the steps is only necessary when you go down to the pool. it was lovely at panorama, very friendly and helpful staff, extremely clean, very spacious. definitely one of the best places in town!

Room Tip: book the honeymoon suite if you don't want to walk up an down the steps all the time

Pro
The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing.....the pictures in the magazines are true! I believe the sunset views are better than Oia because there is more foreground, like the islands and ship and boat activity far below.
The hotel location is approximately 300 meters from the bus hub in Fira. All bus travel originates in Fira, so it is perfect. We bused and hiked to many remote parts of the island and did not need to rent a car.
The service was excellent. All of the staff did everything they could to make our three night stay as comfortable as possible. Hayley was our waitress, bar tender, "tour guide", and friend. What a perfectly lovely young lady. I will never forget her smile.
Con
Before choosing your room, read the details of its location very carefully. We intentionally chose a room well below the hustle and bustle of the street above. After a short elevator ride four floors down, we needed to walk down many steps to our room and more to the pool area. Of course, down is not bad; but you had better be in good shape to walk back up! If you don't mind the exercise, these Studio Suites are for you. I would go back in a second!

We stayed at Panorama studios for four nights in May 2013 and absolutely loved Santorini and this hotel.
You will not find a better sunset view over the volcano anywhere in Santorini!
We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed. It is right in the heart of Fira, close to restaurants, shops and the bus station.
It's was a fair way down the caldera - even with an elevator it was still a lot of steps that are fine if you are fit and healthy. The breakfast was great - you just ticked the items you wanted from an extensive menu and the time you wanted breakfast the following morning. It was served at the pool area with amazing views of the volcano as well as back at the picturesque caldera cliff face.
The wifi in the room was ok but better at the pool area. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
The only negative was a very small bathroom and tiny shower with a shower curtain.
But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Parorama Studios to family and friends.

I spent an amazing 4 nights at Panorama and shared a suite with my friend. It was great value and a nice spacious room with truley amazing views from our balcony. The staff were all fabulous and gave great recomendations of where to eat and drink.
The pool area is great to enjoy a cocktail and watch the beautiful sunset and has great snack options throughout the day. The breakfast was great too will all options covered.
I will definatley be back to stay here! Next time it will be longer.

My wife and I stayed at the Panorama Appartments for 5 nights in July of this year.
We stayed in room 43 which is at the very bottom of the reach of the hotel rooms, but directly outside the pool and pool side bar.
The walk up the 140 odd steps from the pool area was breath taking (in more ways than one !!), but, for the convenience of the pool and the view, was worth it.
It is quiet demanding walking up to street level and the elevator up the last three levels is not immediately apparent as a benefit, as by then, you are quiet puffed !!
We are older, 65 and 61 and in pretty good nick.
We really worked out what we wanted to do and how long we were going to stay up in the town before venturing out.
The climb is quiet demanding and not recommended as a 5-6 times a day venture.
Having said all this, the pool area was Great. The service (by a wonderful young NZ girl, called "Hayley") was memorable.
The views of the caldera magnificent.. The room was very average and the toilet tended to break down.
Sitting by the pool (which, for some reason, was always deserted by sunset) and having a quiet drink in the surounds was out of this world,as day slowly faded.
We had just completed 7 weeks around various places in Europe.
So to relax here was wonderful.
In our case, after finding the stairs daunting, we tended to stay by the pool and venure out (UP !!)
to take in the sites and eat only.... only or twice a day.
It has been our only stay in , to date, in Santorini, but travel brouches don't do this magnificent island justice... We stayed in Thira, but Oui and other places between were lovley.
We walked most of the 20k between these various towns, one day.
I think, you could get appartments better appointed, but this one was adiquate for our purposes and the views fantastic.
I don't know how you get a comparison (other then by wonderful "trip advisor") but,I, assume, many other appartments would be similar, but with a lift.
It should be said, that an employee of the units carried our bags, both, down to our unit and back up on the day of departure.. Well worth the tip we gave his, as we would still be staggering up the stairs, if we had to do it ourselves.
No, a wonderful place and the staff couldn't have been nicer..

thanks again, Santorini.
