The food was excellent here. It overlooks the main street so it did have some street noise, but it was a wonderful meal.

OK this place doesn't have the Caldera view but it certainly does have the freshest and best food you can find and genuinely friendly service by the owner. Everything we tried was excellent, from the calamari, to the Greek salads, the fantastic (huge) mixed starters for two, and much more besides. We ate here 4 times in 10 days, having tried out too many other places beforehand which had left us feeling disappointed. Highly recommended

I'm reluctant to call any restaurant or it's food 'the best', including this one. There are too many variables and people's expectations differ. However, the owner of the Triana, who is also Mine Host, has no such qualms and he will cheerfully and repeatedly remind you that he doesn't serve 'frozen' food like 'all the others'. He is an engaging, proficiently multi-lingual gentleman whose humour and style are memorable.

Supposedly on the 'wrong' side of the hill, the outdoor terrace restaurant still offers broad sea views and a family atmosphere.

Mrs Maitre'd does the cooking and the food IS good, among the best authentic Greek food you will find.

Ate here three times in a week. There food is outstanding and best of all, it´s authentic, not to mention their tzatziki. I have been to Greece many times and I have eaten greek food almost in all the places I´ve been to int the world. But this place serves you one of the best greek food I´ve ever tried
Laying in a corner across the mainroad makes it a litlle bit noisy, but after a while you don´t think about it.
Triana is one of the few last standing familyowned tavernas left in Fira. Just that makes it worth trying.
The older man that takes the order speaks really good english and if you aren´t sure what you´re looking at in the meny, he will be happy to explain for you.

We stayed in Fira for 3 nights and ate here for two. I don't know the name of the dear old gentleman that owns this restaurant with his wife, but we call him The Twinkly Old Man as he was the loveliest most attentive host you could ask for with a wicked grin and a twinkle in his eye.

The food was some of the best we'd eaten in Greece. Good wholesome home cooked meals that were clearly never microwaved or reaheated in any way and always fresh. When we got the bill we were most surprised to find that it was also the cheapest we'd eaten in Greece! 44 Euros for a two course meal including a litre of wine and beer for three people! If you are staying in Fira, please make sure you visit this taverna and discover this little gem for yourselves - you'll be missing out if you don't!
