“Did I mention the view ??? Amazing !”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

We arrived at the Panorama and were greeted warmly by the hotel staff. Within moments, we were in our room which had obviously undergone a full renovation. Perfect in every way ! Insanely beautiful view and a comfortable bed ! What more could you ask for !

That is until we discovered the view and staff at The LoVnge. Take us at our word...reserve a table close to the railing just before sunset and let the beauty of a Santorini sunset happen before your eyes...wonderfully romantic...in fact....we were present for a "Proposal at Sunset" one evening and my wife of 28 years had a tear in her eye. Wish I had thought of that !

To the staff at The Panorama, many kind regards to all of you for the beautiful flowers that you presented to my wife on her birthday.... she was so surprised ! and grateful for all the kindness and courtesies shown to us during our entire stay at your wonderful hotel.

To Shane; You are the best my man ! always so engaging and helpful. Gail and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves !

We want to thank you all for your kindness and service during our stay at the Panorama.

The name of the hotel speaks for itself. It is located at the top of the Main Street in Fira and the view is excellent.
Was greeted by a warm, helpful and patient receptionist and was given my room almost immediately upon arrival.
I stayed in the suite room which has a jacuzzi in the bathroom that overlooks the caldera. The balcony was located just beside the room and shares the same view.
Most of the hotel there face west so that the guests has a really nice view of the setting sun and unobstructed view of the volcano island.
The service during my 5 days there's was great but I have only one comment and that is the breakfast, it was very basic and the spread was too small and they serve almost the same food everyday.
Other than that, it is a great hotel.

Room Tip: Choose the suite room 401 as the balcony is fully enclosed from the waist down whereas the other sui...

first of all we took the suite.. no other words to describe our stay at the hotel but "amazing"
our room was very big clean and had the most beautiful balcony ever..
and of course the jacuzzi was a nice adition.
the hotel staff were nice and helpful.
the location is perfect in two ways:
1. the most beautiful place in fira (without a doubt)
2. the best location on santorini island (it is kind of between evrything)

View from the room is amazing! Small room but has a balcony, safe, kettle, tv and free amenities. Right in the heart of town. Hard carrying luggage up because no vehicles can get right up to it so you must walk.

Our family of four loved this hotel. It is right in the middle of the main street and within easy walking distance of the bus station and all of the restaurants and shops. The view from our rooms was jaw-dropping. The rooms themselves are great: very clean and uncluttered and quiet. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is great - it's at the roof-top restaurant next door to the hotel with phenomenal views. Highly recommend!

It took me quite some time to research before deciding on our hotel in Santorini as my husband and I were not particularly fond of more traditional “greek-style” furnishings which seemed to be the theme of most hotels in Santorini. Despite being a small boutique hotel, Panorama had a great location and was relatively new and modern compared to other hotels of its rank, and we were very happy with our choice at the time of booking. So imagine the shock we had upon arrival when we were informed by the hotel staff that there had been a mistake and they did not have a room for us. We were told that hotels.com through which we made our booking mistakenly placed them on the available list when in fact they had no rooms left. They offered to move us to the hotel next door. We did try to be accommodating but the room at the other hotel that they offered to move us to was exactly the type of style we did all that research to avoid. What I did not understand was that our booking was made more than a month before arrival and if they had a problem with the booking, they could have easily contacted hotels.com or us so that we could have made other arrangements, instead of putting us on the spot like that with our luggage in tow. Anyways, after a lot of negotiation, somehow they managed to fit us into a standard double room (instead of the petite suite we booked) for the first 2 nights of our stay, and upgraded us to their standard suite for the last night. I suppose this is a one-off incident, but for anyone who is booking through an online agent, it might be worthwhile to email the hotel in advance or give them a call to avoid our experience.

Everything else turned for the better after that and we enjoyed our stay at Panorama. The location is indeed perfect for anyone staying in Fira with everything you need just a few steps away. The rooms were basic, but very clean and modern. The view from the balcony was spectacular and I would suggest getting a suite as the balcony is much bigger. They even offered a bottle of free champagne in every room. There was also no noise issue for us and I suppose we are in a position to tell as we stayed on both the 2nd and 4th floors. Most of the staff were very friendly, and they did seem very apologetic and helpful when they tried to resolve the room-booking issue with us. The pretty night-shift receptionist also offered us a handwritten list of recommendations of restaurants and attractions too – very sweet of her (the middle-aged lady doing the morning shift was not as friendly and a little snappy at times by comparison). Internet reception in the room was just fair but adequate. Do not miss breakfast on the rooftop restaurant, which has a great view of the caldera sea. Food from the breakfast buffet was very basic, but they would make omelettes and fried eggs on request. We did not try out the pool though. We would still pick Panorama if we were to choose again and would recommend it to friends and family.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying 10 days in Panorama Hotel. The location of the hotel is at the heart of Fira (definately the best town on the island), everything is so accessible.
On arrival and till we departed the staff went above and beyond to cater for our needs, offering advice for best excursions/ restaurants/ bars, everything! we literally didn't have to organise anything ourselves! There are dozens of amazing places and reasonably priced, to dine out in. Just ask the staff.
The room was a perfect size, always imacculate on return from every day out and the view from our private balconey was sensational!! The hotel without doubt has the best view in town!!
The pool was large and refreshing with very attentive pool staff and a bar/food service.
Breakfast offered poolside and on rooftop, was definately the best we had during our stay compared to anywhere else.
The rooftop bar/ cafe is sleek and modern, very cosmopolitan but with a softer edge. A really mellow environment to sit back with some delicious cocktails and light food dishes and again like our room offering an amazing view.
We literally couldn't fault anything if we tried, had such an amazing!!and to think I nearly booked another hotel till I was recommend Panorama!! Panorama hotel is a must is your lucky enough to visit beautiful Santorini!! Devastated we had to leave our place in paradise :(
