“Luxurious hotel with excellent service”
Reviewed 19 August 2010

I visited the hotel for a week with friends and enjoyed every second I stayed there. Everyone was very attentative to our needs and I was really impressed by the hospitality of the staff. Elegant gestures make guests feel pampered and relaxed.
The spa faciities are inviting you to indulge! Make sure you take the advise of the reception on places to visit our Santorini! I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone

Stayed in Aressan for 5 nights from 01/08/10. Hotel was everything we saw on web site and more. Room was lovely and clean with nightly turn down service and treat left on the bed. Good continential breakfast with fresh breads and pasteries. Staff were very professional and helpful. Food at hotel was delicious. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just 2 min walk from the Caldera main viewing area. Santorini is a beautiful place. People are friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful meal every night from Greek to Italian. The hotel spa is very good also. I would definately reccommend the Aressana to friends.

We stayed here for 4 nights after a week (and our wedding!) in Kamari. It was perfect. We loved Kamari with its beach and restaurants, but Fira has a completely different but equally lovely feel to it. The hotel itself is clean and modern and the staff are professional yet friendly and charming. By Greek standards, this hotel is very impressive! The hotel also made us feel very special as a honeymoon couple with Moet in our room on arrival and a hot tub on our balcony. We loved the pool area and the bar snacks were huge! Breakfast could've been improved as it seemed more like a Greek lunch, but we still managed to fill ourselves with croissants and toast :) We also had a massage each and used the relaxation room - I'd definitely recommend this to others.

On first glance, the hotel looks trendy like a W hotel and was trying to cater to the hip adult crowd, but the service element needs improvement. For example, we tried ordering food and drinks at the bar right before a bartender was getting off his shift, and he told us to wait until the next bartender came on. Also, the breakfast buffet was nothing to write home about, and the materials in our home said that a continental breakfast could be delivered to our room free of charge instead. When we called to inquire, they said those materials were out of date, and we would be charged (I think it was $10/person) even though we had already pre-paid for the breakfast buffet.

The front desk representative did book us a volcano tour (skip that...not worth the $) and helped us exchange currency. Wi-fi was available in the lobby, and there was a nice pool area. They definitely could improve a few areas to make this hotel a real stand-out. Would recommend if there was a good deal.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Aressana hotel. The rooms were clean, the service was friendly and the location is just perfect. The management left us fruit and wine at our arrival upon learning that it was our 15th anniversary...very thoughtful. Although it's not on the Caldera, it's simply 2 minute walk from front of hotel to the Fira rim of the Caldera where there are public benches to see the sunset and perhaps drink some wine you purchase from one of the shops. The pool looked nice, but small. We preferred to travel the beach during the day and spend the evenings walking around Fira or doing an excursion. The hotel is also 1 block from the city bus station making travel to the beaches and Oia very easy and inepensive.

The Good: Location, Location, Location; near Caldera restuarants and cheaper Gyro stands; 1 block from the public bus station which is very easy to use to get around; Friendly Service; Free wireless internet in the lobby

Tips if you stay here: Greece hotel ratings tend to be one star less than in Asia and U.S., so think of the Aressana as an excellent 3 star hotel; Skip the pool and jump on the public bus to the black beachws of Perissa or Perivolos; take the hotel recommended volcano/sunset cruise - a highlight of our entire trip

My partner and I have just returned from a great island hoping holiday around Greece.

We stayed in the Aressana Hotel for 2 nights.

-Close walking distance to the cute little town of fira
-only 10m walk out of the front entrance of the hotel to see view of caldera
- great breakfast
- excellant staff
- public internet facilities
- great spa and pool facilities
- rooms are spacious and perfect

We really recommend this hotel for your stay in Fira Santorini

(PS: we stayed in an amazing hotel in Oia for 2 nights following our stay at Aressana- we much prefer the town of Fira in comparrison to the town of Oia. Alot more action going on in Fira)

I had a very pleasant stay at the Aressana. I utilized the spa and had the signature massage that combines several techniques along with a scrub....absolutely divine! The food is excellent and the manager is always around to make sure you’re being taken care of. I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you’re looking for modern, zen type atmosphere, this is the place to be. Good location too. Only drawback is that there aren’t any views of the sea from any of the rooms.
