When we saw the view from our hotel window, we were thrilled! It was wonderful to come back from sight seeing around Santorini to such a spectacular dynamic scene as the sun went down. We would like to convey our gratitude to the fantastic staff there. The advice, friendliness and service were top notch. In particular, we are especially grateful for the efforts, understanding and compassion of the Kavalari staff when we had a bout of ill health that required a visit to the local medical centre. We were able to continue with our holiday as planned when well again. We heartily recommend anyone visiting Santorini to stay at the Hotel Kavalari.

This hotel offers outstanding and picturesque views of the Caldera and is located in the heart of Fira which is only steps from boutiques, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. We walked everywhere, there was no need for a car or cab. You get a patio with every room and can enjoy the famous santorini sunset right outside of your room. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the breakfast, but that is because I am used to Complimentary Canadian breakfast, and also the jacuzzi was actually cold so we didnt get to use it much, but other than that the staff and rooms were amazing!!!!!!!

My sister and I wanted to stay at the most decently priced hotel with a view while in Santorini, and Hotel Kavalari was it. Cute little cave like rooms, with a great view! The hotel provided breakfast every morning, and the staff at the front desk was great. Located at the best location in Fira, close to everything. Only downside was the small hot water tank in the rooms, be prepared for short showers. Overall though, great place!

Room Tip: If you are trying to decide between Oia and Fira. Fira is the way to go! Sunsets are the same, and i...

I stayed here with my wife last year and have to say I had a great time. This hotel is right in the heart of Fira. The views are absolutely amazing, although many other hotels have views just as good. The thing that made this hotel special was 1) the price which was very affordable compared to many other hotels I looked at 2) Location - right in the heart of Fira and a short bus ride from the airport 3) Really delicious breakfasts to start the day right 4) the help at the front desk arranging ATV's, recommendations, and just being really accommodating. Overall we had a fabulous stay here.

Room Tip: The higher up the mountain your room is, the less steps you will have. If you are older, the steps...

We stayed in June this year @ Kavalri. The people there were really friendly.
We had the small room close to the reception. It weren't loud and the view from our windows was great. All the other rooms had small terrace.. But everyone can use the free places on all terraces...
You have your breakfast with view to the big cruise liner..
Breakfast was very good!

The location was very exclusive without feeling unwell because of "backpacking"-outfit! Everybody was friendly!!

Supermarket very close!

You are directly on the shopping street!!

BUT: all the people from the cruise liner look on you head.. but this is the situation with all hotels with this nice view :))

Recommend "Big Mama" as restaurant.. nice greek dishes!

Room was dirty upon entrance with glass on the floor - no hot water and no other room was offered or available - hotel receptionist said it would not be available until next day after 11am sometime - no apologize was offered what so ever - water remained cold until we left the hotel - twice at breakfast when we asked for a refill on coffee - we were told that we had to wait until all the guests were served !!!! The entire staffs attitude was who cares - we got your money and that is all that matters ! What a shame - hotel never followed up with us when we left and after we waited for the manager to call us back - terrible !!!

Great location. 5 mins from bus stop. Friendly staff. Cute cave like rooms. Our room was clean and tidy. Our room was only 10ish steps from reception and had jaw dropping views. Surprisingly was not noisy as we were quite close to main footpath. Such a great spot for taking photos of the sunset. Breakfast was delicious. The man must warm it up for you and it was so fresh. No complaints at all. They recommended places to eat and things to do. Iv even told my mum the details of this place so she hopefully will stau hete when she visits next yeat.
