I knew they were here. I knew it, and it still caught me by surprise. Stairs...stairs everywhere.
Other than that one unavoidable detail, we had the best experience of our 12 day trip to Europe here.
The front desk staff is so, so helpful. They helped us book our patio massages (€65 worth it) and gave us many suggestions for things to do. The porter, who asked to be named "the gorilla", is a beast of a man who carries luggage up and down the 120 stairs all day, every day. The poolside bar was unexpectedly cheap, and offers a good variety of beer, wine and cocktails, even a small menu of food.
We probably had the best patio in the whole place, right above the pool in room 001. I can definitely see why some wouldn't be happy with their patio, but we couldn't find anything wrong with ours.
The bedrooms are a little sparse and the bathrooms are small, but I didn't come to the Greek islands to spend time lounging in bed. That's what the amazing pool deck is for. Go sleep there. More
