Rooms were decent, nothing spectacular, lots of space. Pool is the highlight of this hotel with a jacuzzi (lukewarm) and great view of the caldera. The hotel is not in Fira center as such and takes 30-35 mins by walk to Fira or 5 mins via the hotel shuttle that is somewhat infrequent. A cab ride will set you back 5 euros each way. Quiet location given it's distance from Fira.

The staff here are wonderful, very professional and focused on providing very good service. The restaurant is decent and while breakfast was nothing great, we can't say that other hotels have done much better with included breakfasts.

Overall, good value for your money and nice facilities with great staff.

Room Tip: Having a room in front of the pool limits your privacy.

This was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Everywhere has a million dollar view, the pool, the rooms, and the restaurant. That however is not tough in Santorini. What made this place stand out was the staff. The staff was incredible. Our bags were lost on the journey over, they spoke with the baggage company for us, arranged transport for us to pick the bags up when they arrived, and made the near disaster a distant memory for us. The shuttle drivers couldn't be more friendly and more proud of their home island of Santorini. The shuttles ran periodically throughout the day, and if not convenient a 4 euro ride into town was easily arranged.

It was nice not to be right in town, you can enjoy the huge pool area and facilities with peace and comfort. We had no car but had zero problem getting around. The islands bus system was also very easy, and close to where the hotel's shuttle drops you off in Fira. Stay here!! This place was recommended by family who stayed previously, and we are certainly returning.

Room Tip: The second flor studios have a little more privacy not being on the pool level

We recently stayed here for a week and initially we were stunned by the views, but the hotel itself was disappointing. The rooms and the beds are large and there was plenty of space and we had a lovely terrace outside the room where we could enjoy the view. However it soon became apparent that we were in a thoroughfare with people walking past our room and able to see in, so we had very little privacy.
The maid also used our terrace as a space to collect all the rubbish and dirty linen from nearby rooms so we couldn't sit on the balcony in the mornings. After we complained, she did (after two complaints) stop doing this but our room was never cleaned properly again for the rest of the week.
We thought the food at breakfast was particularly poor quality, and the same every day eg. cold coffee, tinned fruit, cold bacon and eggs turned black - if they want to do an English breakfast, I suggest the chef learns how to do it.
This hotel is not really near anywhere and its best to have your own transport. They do put shuttle buses on, but not frequently enough and if you want to go at a different time you have to pay 4 euros each way. We thought they should run a free shuttle every hour.
On the plus side, the ladies on reception were very helpful and informative (except when they forgot to tell us about the taxi strike, which meant we had to walk the half hour home at 11pm, on the busy main road) To be fair to them, they did compensate us for this afterwards.
Definitely worth a mention was Lucas, who drove the shuttle bus - he was extremely friendly and helpful and a credit to them.
The pool area is lovely, and a nice place to spend a few hours.
It was my husbands birthday while we were there and they kindly sent a complimentary bottle of wine to our room which we thought was a lovely gesture.
Overall, this hotel has amazing views but we wouldn't call it 4 or 5 star.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above the pool if you want some privacy.

The staff was professional, cheerful, and helpful from beginning to end. We asked the concierge multiple questions a day and she was always patient and friendly and ready to help in any way. The view from this hotel in MIND BOGGLING. The picture on their website really was exactly the view out the front door of our room. The sunsets (watchable from the pool deck, the restaurant, or the little private deck right in front of our room) were also spectacular...arguably better than those from Oia (which is widely considered one of the best sunsets ever). We ate twice at the restaurant. Not the best meals we ate in Greece, but very good considering it's a hotel restaurant, and you can't beat the view. The location is really not walkable to anything, but the hotel's free shuttle to Thira was very prompt and convenient, although it only runs a few times a day. I believe for a fee, you can ask the van to take you somewhere on your own schedule. We did rent a car for two days while there, arranged through the hotel, for approx 40 euros a day. Keep in mind that if you're comparing hotels, the Volcano View Villas and the Butterfly Caldera Villas are right next door, so they have the same location pros (amazing views, quiet and peaceful) and cons (not walking distance to town). We were grateful that the Lilium restaurant was good enough that when we were too tired or hurried to get into town, we could just eat there. As for the rooms at the Lilium, they were the only thing I would not give the 5 star rating to. They were definitely clean and (for Greece) nicely sized. The bed was only moderately hard (better than many in Greece, which are often like rocks). But if you're looking to walk into a room and feel like you're in five star luxury where you could stay inside all day, this is not the place. HOWEVER, why would you stay inside in Santorini anyway????

Caldera's Lilium Villa in Santorini is fantastic. My partner and I travel extensively and we think this hotel will far surpass any traveler's expectations. The kitchen staff is amazing, in fact the entire staff seems to be smiling all the time. We could not be happier with the location, the food, the staff and the spa services! We will certainly book this hotel when returning to Santorini and have told everyone we know to stay at Caldera's Lilium Villas if they are traveling to Santorini. Glorious! Phenomenal! The perfect choice!

I thought this place was nice but I would probably not stay there again. The staff was really friendly, plus there was a free shuttle to Oia. The pool was really great. I was a little bit disappointed in the room. The floor is a blue tile and the bed spread is white. I walked accross the floor barefoot and then get into bed and my foot prints on the white sheets/cover were really dirty! I felt I needed to wear flip flops in the room after that. The pictures online are sadly alot better than they are in person.

I definitely do not think this is a bad place to stay, its just not as good as the pictures. If we ever go back to Santorini I may just stay at a nicer/more expenive place.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a recent vactation and we realized how great of a location it was since it not direcely in one of the busy towns like Fira or Oia. It was easy to find, but did have a bit of road noise since it was on the main road, but it wasn't really bad. Pool was great and the views were spectacular. The rooms all have excellent views and the breakfast was included in our rate and it was top notch with just about anything you might like in the morning. Great place to stay.
