We truly enjoyed our stay here. The views are breathtaking and the hospitality is top-notch. The hotel staff were great at helping us plan our activities, both with suggestions and actually booking them. We stayed in Afroessa, and it was wonderful. We would certainly stay here again or at another Do Disturb property.

While the island was pretty much empty since it was early March, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and our stay there for 3 nights. The room was very unique and fun to have - basically a small cave carved into the mountain. We stayed in Erini, which was on the fourth tier of the hotel, just below the master suite up top. For the money I'd say this is the best one to rent. While the master has all the best amenities like the waterfall hot tub, larger space, and full balcony, I didn't want to spend 75% more for it. Our view was still spectacular. We didn't see our neighbors who shared our balcony so we still enjoyed our privacy, but maybe during the high season paying up for your own balcony might be worth it.

The location within Fira is very convenient, although a bit treacherous on our luggage wheels. It's just off the main street near everything and you have to walk through the street vendor alley ways to get there, so it might be a little packed in the high season, but you're never far from anything.

Since it was the off season, the hotel was managed by just one man Giorgos and breakfast was prepared by a lady (who I unfortunately didn't get her name). Giorgos was instantly our friend and guide - showing us everything we needed to know about where to go, where not to go, what to do while there and everything in between.

Our breakfast every morning was incredible: I will miss the ripe cherry tomatoes, fresh feta, fruit and yogurt, and the eggs and sausages. You can't get it that good anywhere in America, that's for sure!

I highly recommend this place for couples or individuals. I wouldn't bring small children here as the balconies' ledges are low and a little scary. If you are deathly afraid of heights, stick with the 2nd or 3rd tier rooms which aren't as high up but still provide a decent view. The 2nd tier suite (Daphne, I think) does have the stairs right in front of it, so if you like to sleep in late, I wouldn't go with this one.

Our trip started off with a 24 hour lay over in Paris (never again), then off to Athens for three days (what a great place for the sites & yummmmmy food), Then off to Santorini for the start of our 10 day stay on the island. We got out of the cab and at first we were a little lost but the locals were very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. We came up to the top of the three sets of long stairs and WOW! What a gorgeous view of the Aegean Sea and the Calderas! We got to the hotel and we could not believe our eyes...........

The hotel is literally on the cliffs. We went to the lobby and as we were walking in we were greeted by the hotel staff. The manager introduced himself and already knew who we were. He then took us up to the suite and gave us the grand tour. The staff took care of our luggage and met us at the room.

The suite was INCREDIBLE! We walked in the door into a foyer area that had a window looking out over the cliffs, the caldera and the sea, then we went up three steps into a full bathroom with a large jacuzzi tub, then up a spiral set of stairs cut into the stone of the mountain and came into the living room. This room had plenty of windows with french doors opening up to a patio that also over looked the cliffs, the caldera and the sea! It was nicely decorated with all of the amenities of home. We then went up a flight of wood stairs to the third floor and came into the loft bedroom area that had its own full bathroom. It was incredible!

The entire suite was carved into the side of the mountain. Thus earning it's nickname, the caves of caldera. Now, when I say cave, it is like no other cave you have ever been in. The draftsman who created this unique spot really had a vision! This was such a beautiful suite, the staff was like I have never seen before. They clean your room twice a day, make sure that you are stuffed full at the morning breakfast (that they put on every morning), call your room to make sure that you are either coming down for breakfast or skipping breakfast so they don't put the food away before you get there and will do everything they can to make your stay unforgettable! The staff works very hard and very long hours each day. They are there when needed! They truly know the meaning of customer service. Something that has been lost in recent times in my opinion.

This was truly the best trip we have ever taken! They truly made our stay in Santorini special. When we head back that way, we are definitely staying there again! Thank you so much to the entire staff for making our visit so AWESOME!

Room Tip: All of the room that we saw looked awesome. I do not think you can go wrong with any room on the pr...

We loved our few days at the Nefeles Suites in Fira. Arriving at a quiet time of year, it was the perfect base to see the whole island and we liked it so much we stayed one extra day. We will be recommending Nefeles to friends thinking of visiting Fira.

We were met off the boat from Piraeus at the port by George, and whisked off to Fira where Alexandros kindly met us by the road and carrried our bags to the suites which overlook the whole caldera, and felt properly welcomed. As it was a quite time of year and we were celebrating, we were really kindly upgraded into a beautiful tall suite, Afroessa, with a beautiful private balcony, when we would have been perfectly happy with our first choice. The three staff on duty during the day were kind and efficient, and went well beyond what you might expect, whilst allowing plenty of space for us to relax.

The suites are perfectly centrally situated opposite the volcano islands of Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni. In winter the sun sets into the Aegean with a beautiful view of these and Thirasia, though arguably the view in the morning as the sun slowly lights up the bay from behind Fira is just as magical. From Fira it is easy to get anywhere on the island - the buses run to most places about every 80 minutes in Winter - and Alexandros had some good advice of what to see and do.

If you are at all wondering whether to visit in Winter, it is lovely and peaceful, and we had bright sunshine for three of our five days on the island. Everyone has time to be even more kind and friendly and are so happy to see visitors - and generous too. You will begin to appreciate having historical sights to yourself, and will certainly be looked after by your hosts, and the few restauranteurs who have stayed open.

We had a lot of contact with Stefanos before we arrived in Santorini. He helped us find excursions as well as restaurants throughout our trip. The level of service that was provided by Stefanos and his staff was absolutely outstanding.

The hotel was very clean, very beautiful, quiet, conveniently located, very romantic and had one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. We had a front row seat with a view of the caldera.

I would definitely recommend Nefeles to anyone!

Stayed here last year. The view is to die for! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A warm welcome on arrival and nothing too much trouble. Literally the town is directly behind the luxury suites. Very comfortable clean and well equipped apartments. My partner proposed here and we are marrying on yhe the roof top terrace this year in August! Can't wait to go back!

I stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights with my wife. This place is absolutely amazing. Everything was just perfect. Lovely views from the balcony. The Manager Mr.Stefanos is really a nice humble guy. Every room has a attached balcony with a volcano view. Rooms are clean and spacious. Also its positioned in the heart of Fira with the market and many restaurants nearby. Would really love to come back here again.
