“Santorini paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

We stayed here, in the windmill in July 2014. Wow, what a truly amazing vacation we had!!! Nothing and I mean nothing was too hard for Eva or her daughter Evgenia even dropping us constantly in fira or at agealis beach for beautiful dinner with ocean views! Location is about five minute drive from centre of fira then we would walk the trip home as it's all downhill back to Milo's villas. I can't highly enough suggest this beautiful place for great value, location, always clean, most friendly service, beautiful views, very clean pool area and delicious breakfast provided daily. We arrived strangers but left life long friends and will be back year after year to visit. 10/10

After having travelled to most countries and staying at most top class hotels, I found Milos villas to be one of the most welcoming and friendliest place to stay at.
Located perfectly and up to the expected standards.
The owners and workers became like family instantly.. especially because I was travelling solo.. I felt this more.
Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The family was lovely very helpful and welcoming. Very happy to assist us in printing off boarding tickets and booking transport to and from port/ airport. Room was huge, a little dark and over our room was the breakfast area which was very noisy between 8.30 and 10.30 am. Very inconvenient as we did not wake for breakfast. Pool area was lovely and clean, good views. Bit of a hike to town, steep road with cars and bikes passing frequently, took 15min to get to centre of town. Good value for santorini.

Stayed here for a few nights in mid September. The resort is about 800m from the center of Fira, with a fairly steep uphill 15 minute walk to get into town. If you intend walking back to the hotel after a night out make sure you take a torch as some of the way is poorly lit, often with donkey droppings in the middle of the path.
The rooms are basic but comfortable, if a little dated, with a small "box" TV with only one English channel. Sleeping in late was a little difficult as we could clearly hear doors closing and other noises from throughout the hotel from about 8am. You'll also need to get up reasonably early to have a shower before the hot water runs out.
The family that runs the place is very pleasant, and someone's always available with plenty of suggestions of where to go and what to do. They'll also drive you up the hill to town if they have time. We got them to organise us a hire car, which was a Micra with almost every panel scratched and/or dented. This turned out to be a bonus considering the haphazard driving and (particularly) parking on the island.
Our ferry to Crete wasn't until 6:30pm, so we appreciated being able to keep our room until 4:30pm gratis.

We visited Santorini on 10th Sept '13 to be greeted and transferred from the airport by Evgenia, the daughter. Very helpful, friendly, artistic and linguistically talented.

Upon arrival her mother, Eva, gave us a warm and friendly welcome and after checking in she presented us with a nice bottle of Santo wine, produced on the island. This was a really nice touch and very much appreciated. The Kaika family really are nice, genuine and friendly people where nothing is too much trouble when it comes to making your stay in Thira as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

We opted to stay in the windmill for something quirky and a break from the norm. The view looking eastwards from the bedroom gives you great sunrise views over the Aegean Sea. The benefit of the location of this complex is that you can walk to the east or west side of the island in about 15-20 minutes. The complex is very well maintained with a really nice clean pool and good quality sunbeds and furniture.

As an added bonus we were befriended by the Kaika cat family, consisting of 2 ginger, 2 tabbies, 1 calico and a really adorable ginger and white kitten who wore a red collar and was so playful and affectionate. As animal lovers we enjoyed their company and fed them treats most days when we saw them.

We would definitely stop at Milos Villas again and would like to thank Eva and Evgenia for everything they did for us during our stay and wish the Kaika family all the best!

I stayed at Milos Villas with my husband and my son in September 2013. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing. The people who run this hotel are extremely friendly and accommodating especially Eva and her daughter Evgenia (Evgenia is helping out at Eva's husband is currently in hospital in Athens which is very sad and worrying for Eva).

It is a 15 minute walk uphill to Fira but everytime we asked Eva to order a taxi for us she got Evgenia to take us up into Fira town and also transferred us to the airport on our day of departure. Eva also let us stay in our room until it was time to depart at no extra cost (we didn't check out until 7 pm) and also provided my son with another room (as he was staying in the windmill but was needed for new customers) until departure at no extra cost.

These people are extremely accommodating and they are now good friends of ours. Eva even gave me a gift of pottery which is made by her daughter Evgenia as she has a pottery studio. If I ever stay in Fira town again, it will be at Milos Villas. Thank you Eva and Evgenia for a delightful, friendly and fantastic stay at your Milos Villas. Love from Debbie, Gordon and Richard.
