Met at the airport for our complimentary transfer by a very friendly guy called yannis.
Took approx 10 mins and was checked in immediately. We booked a superior room which was smaller than the photos.the room was basic but clean and had a fridge and hairdryer.
Breakfast was OK,nothing exciting.pool area was nice and towels are provided, however sunbeds are rock hard and not very comfortable at all.
The location is great 5 minutes into fira and a supermarket minutes away.
Overall the hotel is fine and I would recommend, however one complaint, the hotel was fully booked and there is no courtesy room or anywhere to have a shower, which is unheard of,so basically they need to sort this out,as we weren't leaving until 6pm.

Room Tip: Superior room for a view

We recently had our wedding in Santorini and I selected this hotel for my guests to stay based on the reviews on tripadvisor. The owners and staff at this hotel are PHENOMENAL. My parents could not stop raving about how kind and helpful everyone was. I cannot thank them enough for the care they took of my guests. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is perfect. Across the street are the famous caldera views, and Fira center is a short walk away. The best part for elderly guests is that there are very few steps to climb. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning an event in the area as the prices are affordable, rooms are renovated and clean, and the staff and owners are exceptional people.

Had a week here for our daughters wedding at the Santo Winery. She was in El Greco next door. Staff and the manager at the Philippion were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, room was clean and had everything we needed including a small fridge with reasonable capacity for food and drink. The pool was secluded and private and we had it to ourselves on a few occasions. The evening meal was the best value meal we had in Santorini. This is not included in the price and you have to order in the morning but none the less excellent.
If you cross the road in front of the hotel you get an excellent view. It's only a short work to Fira and is also close to a supermarket.
We will be going again......

Rooms are clean and simple. Pool area is also clean and orderly. Staff have been very helpful, and friendly. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. I like the location as you can walk five minutes to Fira town.

Lots of better places in Santorini. The rooms are ok. The bathroom is old : shower head keep falling! Breakfast is just ok. Pool confined into 4 walls. If you stay in Santorini try the beach area or the Caldera view. Owner try to sell you day excursion to the volcano, don't !

Completely agree with the last comment. Just back from a week spent at Phillippion and myself and my boyfriend had an amazing time. Hotel was very clean and all staff exceptionally friendly and helpful at all times. The staff work really hard here and I noticed that they hadn't had a day off in our whole stay, but you never heard them complain they just miled and got in with it! The owner was also very friendly and helpful when we met him.

Rooms were cleaned every day and to a high standard. The pool area is very relaxing, great pool for cooling down in after lying in sun for to long!! Pool towels are also provided which is great as it saved us having pack our own.

Hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes away from the busy centre, you also get to enjoy beautiful views on your walk in.

Overall a great hotel, would definitely recommend and would return if ever lucky enough to return to santorini.

Lovely hotel, recently refurbished, modern minimalist design - very stylish and cycladic looking. Clean room - was cleaned and tidied up every day and new towels were provided. Lovely staff and owner, very friendly and keen to help with anything we needed. Clean pool area, lovely breakfast buffet and day bar. Perfect location with a supermarket within less than 2' walk from the hotel and the town at just a 5' walk. Plus a lovely view of the caldera and the sunset from the hotel. What more could one ask for, especially with such good rates? I don't understand why some people have written bad reviews, especially about the staff. They are very, very, very polite I can assure you and they will help you with anything you need!!
